Hi can anyone please tell me what it is in the thyroxine that makes it work please the ingredients being Levothyroxine tablets contain the following ingredients: sodium citrate, lactose, maize starch, powdered acacia and magnesium stearate. Sound like a silly question to most I'm sure but I know someone

Emollients - Epimax instead of Diprobase
I asked my GP for some more Diprobase, but was refused as my NHS area's formulary no longer lists it. I remembered a nurse using Fifty:50 so asked for that, and it was allowed. The formulary now lists Epimax as the first choice alternative to Aproderm, Aqueous cream, Aquamax, Diprobase cream, E45 cream

NHS Prescription Saving
If you pay for your NHS prescriptions, you can make huge savings by getting an NHS pre-payment certificate. My pharmacist kindly pointed this out to me. I am on bisoprolol, flecanaide, rivaroxaban, losartan & indapamide. Paying regular prescription price comes to £540/year. The pre-payment certificate

Sickle cell trait
I have the trait and so does my daughter. Tonight I decided to look up on line to see if others have the muscle and joint pain that I carry in which I believe stems from the trait. I asked doctors many years ago if the trait had anything to do with the pain and like everyone else they said no there is

Re fire ant venom "therapy?"
In agreement with my neuro I recently paused my practice of allowing a few fire ants to sting my affected hand every 4th day. If you hadn't read a post previously by me aboout the apparent benefit, I had regained grip strength and tactile ability in my right hand to the point I was suspecting recovery

Starting Ibrutinib
Hello all, I've been w&w for 6 years and now have several bothersome nodes, severe fatigue and labs are indicating CLL progression. Due to my non-mutated status the doctors at MDA gave me the choice of ibrutinib, or a trial of ibrutinib w/ venetoclax. I opted for the ibrutinib alone and will start
