Starting Bendeka + rituximab + allopurinol tomorrow morning. Today is Sunday and I forgot to ask my oncologist if I should start the allopurinol the day before, or the day starting chemo. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks! Changed title to help others interested in Bendeka

High platelets and Eliquis
I am confused because my platelets are high which I understand is likely to cause blot clots and I an on Eliquis which I thought prevented blood clots. It seems to me this is a contridiction. Can someone explain this or should I ask my EP to stop Eliquis? Thank you.

How to obtain cannabinoid oil with THC
I live in the UK and am able to obtain CBD oil with no problem. Can anybody indicate where I might obtain a source which also contains THC. I understand that there is probably some legal questions, but this is entirely personal to help me with my cancer. Niall

Hydroxycarbamide - the best time to take it
Hi everyone. It's strange - I use a computer for Emails, reports, letters etc. I text on the phone, but each time I put a post on here, I make a mistake and put it in a reply box. Well , I'll try again. My "reply" post was a bit long so I'll summarise. I am due to start Hydroxy, immediately after

Pseudogout with PMR?
Hi everyone. Recently I again tried tapering to 7.5mg prednisone without success. I went back up to 10mg but the pain that had escalated in my shoulders, arms, back and knees didn't really get much better. My rheumatologist ordered X-rays and increased my Prednisone to 20mg. The results of the X-rays

Sinemet and Restoril (Temazepam)
Has anyone heard that using Sinemet and Restoril together reduces the effectiveness of Sinemet? I take Sinenet and have been using Ambien for sleep for awhile but would like to get off of it as its effectiveness has been decreasing. I'll be talking to my doctor about this on my next visit, but I would

After reading the study below and another study 4-MU sure looks good on paper. I am thinking about ordering

Tofranil?
Has anyone here had experience taking Tofranil and what should I expect? My lovely new doctor is finally coming around to deciding that I may have some form of CTD but is not really sure how he's going to tackle it and minimise unnecessary toxicity. Before we go head first into hydroxy he wants to try

Emollients - Epimax instead of Diprobase
I asked my GP for some more Diprobase, but was refused as my NHS area's formulary no longer lists it. I remembered a nurse using Fifty:50 so asked for that, and it was allowed. The formulary now lists Epimax as the first choice alternative to Aproderm, Aqueous cream, Aquamax, Diprobase cream, E45 cream
