Combination of δ-Tocotrienol and γ-Tocopherol on PCa.
New cell study. Almost all vitamin E PCa studies are rubbish, unfortunately. Vitamin E consists of 8 compounds - 4 tocopherols & 4 tocotrienols - alpha, beta, gamma & delta. They are never found together in nature. There is no such thing as "balanced" vitamin E, with a little bit of everything, & such

A bit of a light-hearted post
The thread on pain after ablation reminded me. You might find this funny. I did, in spite of the experience. Before my ablation I was entered into a trial for Dofetilide. After some days and with it not converting me on its own, I was scheduled for a cardioversion. They took me down to theatre (in

Gout?
Has anyone here suffered, or does suffer, with gout? I only ask because apparently it's what I have. Yes I was Surprised too, by the way, I NOW know that it IS a, well known (so I'm told) 'Side Effect' of Kidney Problems. My, VERY knowledgeable, Consultant Dr Andi-a man that I, very honestly, nominated

6th monthly blood test
Hi all fellow ET followers I have just received my blood results. I was very happy to see my platelets have come down slightly to 620 from 667, only small but better than up. Also my muscle enzymes LDH has also decreased! considering this test has been trending up since diagnosis 2 years ago. still pretty

Decreased WBC's
My husband started Imbruvica 5weeks ago , along with Allopurinol and an Infusion once a month of IVIG. The concern I have is that when he started his WBC's were 265, they are now down to 65, which is great , has anyone else had this experience, to be honest I didn't think it would go down that quickly

Cosmetics and anticoagulants
I’m not sure if this has been mentioned here before? I was browsing a list of ingredients of a body crem that I was thinking of buying and was surprised to find Coumadin (warfarin) on the list. Apparently it smells of lavender. Does anyone know whether cosmetics of this type, which are absorbed into

Starting Allopurinol with Ibrutinib?
Hello, My Father was just diagnosed with stage 2 unmutated CLL. He has enlarged nodes on his neck, his spleen is enlarged, and his WBC has gone from 42,000 to 72,000 in less than a month and 91% are lymphocytes so they are rushing to start Ibrutinib. He asked his Dr. about protecting his kidneys and

Abiraterone acetate with/out LHRH therapy.
New German paper below [1], announcing a clinical trial. "The trial will assess radiographic progression-free survival after 12 months of treatment with abiraterone/prednisone in patients who will be randomized to receive continuing LHRH therapy versus LHRH withdrawal at the time of starting abiraterone

Ive been concerned my cll is transforming into Richter's. I just got back two lab numbers. LDH is normal at 134 (87-241 normal) Uric acid is elevated at 7.6 (3.5 to 7.2) Can I infer anything based upon my richters concerns ?
