Just got a letter from hospital to say they believe that I may have central demyelinating disorder so now got to wait again for another consultant to confirm the diagnosis. Its funny thou they said something like this 4 years ago so gone round in a big circle.
Now I've got my company sending me to occupational health. As I had a fainting episode the other week, I haven't passed on the diagnosis as I want the new constant to confirm it.

Not heard of this. My brother has Transverse Myelitis. Had to find out for himself, I think with private MRI. He was since told he also has Arachnoiditis.
I recently saw a programme on TV about a TV presenters daughter suddenly being struck down with Transverse Myelitis.
Hope you get full and accurate diagnosis soon. Are you waiting to see a Neurologist?
About the fainting episode. Did GP do any blood tests? Do you eat enough salt? Do you know if your sodium levels are within range?
Can you please share how your brother got arachnoiditis? Did he have epidurals or back surgery? Any details would be helpful to those of us with pain syndromes that have not been diagnosed or misdiagnosed.
Well, my brother did have a hip replacement. Just after he had recovered enough to have sent the wheelchair back he was on his own in the kitchen and fell to the floor and couldn't get up. He'd had a spinal or epidural for the hip surgery.
It was some time after this that a doctor gave him a lumbar puncture, then he got arachnoiditis.
Been seeing neurologist they want another consultant who deals with this condition I looked it up on Google and it is a strain of ms so now I just want a proper diagnosis at least then will know we're I stand.
