Couple of years back I was diagnosed RF positive. Doctor suggest anti-inflammatory drug (Naproxen) which was working fine and for next few attack I just follow the medication as suggested by doctor. Interestingly my problem always took place in ankle area, which used to cure with the drug after couple of days pain and swelling. Recently found the drug is not working and consulted with another doctor, who suggested for the RF test again. This time the RF found negative, but found the uric acid level is high. I am confused and thinking of a 3rd test to confirm the problem. Just wonder if my previous diagnosis was wrong or I have both RH and uric acid problem. Anybody have faced this two problem together?

I'm no doctor but have understood that uric acid would rather point to gaut than RA. If your RF is positive doesn't really say much if your CCP is not possitive as well? I would also wonder about the diagnosis.
You need to continue your investigations to establish what you do have. Treatment of gout is different to that of Rheumatoid Disease - although the pain is similar!
