Navigating endometriosis naturally

Hello everybody,

I am new on here and would like to share my experience with you.

I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis 5 years ago at 23 years old, followed by surgery. I'd spent years going round in circles with doctors on meds that make everything worse. The medicines prescribed numb your connection to your womb and disturb your stomach which in turn disturbs your womb more. Often our womb problems are stomach related though doctors will not focus on this as they would be out of work if they let us know it was diet. So they trap you in a medical system. I had the surgery because I was desperate to come off pain meds as my stomach was becoming extra sensitive. Though the surgery butchered me, totally traumatised me, gave me all of the symptoms of endometriosis I hadn't had before and it took me 3 years to feel my pelvis again with the surgeon simply offering me a hysterectomy instead of checking for an infection because I still could not stand straight 2 weeks later. Sadly there are several horror stories like this. I never went back to the doctors after this. It has been 5 years. The medical system will tell you there is no cure and will suggest surgery every 2 years. Endometriosis is scar tissue, and surgery creates more scar tissue so this is just not a solution, its a trap.

I've followed the endometriosis diet, avoid soy, coffee/caffeine, sugar, gluten, and have become totally vegan which i would advise you do for atleast 4 months to see a difference, eating papaya and turmeric almost daily. This helps A LOT. I do five element accupuncture which has given me a chance to have somewhat a normal life. I practise nadhi shodhana meditation which is an ayurvedic practise that balances the hormones and for me creates space in the womb. If I have extreme pain I will try to have an injection of voltarol instead of medicating orally. Though if you will I would advise to avoid ibuprofen and opiates (codeine) as these are particularly hard on the stomach. I medicate with cannabis, this is not ideal for some though it has saved me in many ways from the side effects of the pharmaceutical world. And I have done a somatic yoga training about releasing trauma through movement which has helped me navigate pain management in my own way with my own body and has taught me psoas releases that help with these kind of issues. It helps to do yoga when I ovulate and just before my bleed, I believe this is a good time to do things like acupuncture and reflexology also. I think it's important to exercise really consciously and know when you will be straining and when you need to be gentle and more fluid. Movement is important. I have just started taking wildnutrition's endocomplex supplements and drinking cats claw tea. I take ashwaganda and I've been recommended gotu kola.

I've had major break through moments, with 6 months pain free all through the above techniques and would like to let you know that this is possible because there was noone there to let me know this and I was stuck in a medical system. Stress seems to have a big effect as you probably already know so I would be mindful of this. I believe that craniosacral therapy and rolfing technique can help with emotional, physical or postural trauma related to the body holding so much pain and can bring ease.

I hope this can benefit some of you,

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Wishing you all the best

Mimo
