Should FISH test be repeated?

Does anyone know if the FISH test is repeated for people with stage zero CLL? I had the test when I was first diagnosed in December 2017, and assume it hasn’t been repeated because my office exam with my hematologist this month didn’t reveal swollen lymph nodes or enlarged spleen.

To my understanding FISH should be repeated before you treat but with stable disease such as you have there is probably no need now.

If there is some fundamental change in your Cll that suggests it’s on the move, then a repeat FISH might be warranted.

It also depends where you live and where you treat. In some countries FISH is not even done at diagnosis but rather when treatment is nearing.

Yes, but only in some circumstances. It needs to be repeated before starting each and every line of therapy because it can and often does change. If therapy is not planned, there is no need to recheck.
