Split T3 dose effectively

Does anybody know how to effectively split a T3 dose? It is really cumbersome to split some tablets, as they crumble and don't divide easily.

I'm currently grinding the T3 tablet into a fine powder and then mix it thoroughly with magnesium glycinate powder. I then form a line of powder which i separate into equals parts (eye-balling). Each part is then filled into it's own gelatine capsule. Due to the higher amount of powder, there should be less error in splitting (at least i hope so).

I'm not 100% sure if the magnesium glycinate interacts with the T3, but my tablets already have magnesium stearate as filler, so i hope nothing bad happens. My tablets also seem to not have any coating, so this should be fine.

My method is a bit time consuming, so i'm searching for a better method. I'd especially like to remove the eye-balling part, but i have no idea how to measure such small amounts of powder.

How do you do it?

Edit:

I only have 25µg tablets.

I am able to get 5mcg tablets and they half easily with a pill cutter to give 2.5mcg doses.

Use a sharp craft scalpel to cut into 1/4’s

I've tried it with a sharp knife, but will try it with a scalpel!

You only need a very light touch, you don't have to chop through the tablet.

Magnesium supplement should be taken 4 hours away from thyroid meds.

The amount of magnesium in magnesium stearate is said to be 4-5% (the rest is fatty acids). I certainly wouldn't be adding magnesium glycinate powder to T3.

You can snap the tablets between fingers and thumbs, they don't crumble.

I also use the one recommended by SeasideSusie and it works very well - even into quarter[ with no wastage of tablet.

I break mine by inserting a fingernail into the divide and snapping with my other hand, works quite well although not totally accurate but, hey, it’s good enough. Nail clippers also work.

I have a pill cutter like this but really don't get on with it: amazon.co.uk/Splitter-Stain...

I use a really sharp knife, sometimes sharpened just before I start cutting the batch, carefully lined down the score in the pill.
