Gonal F

This time I was prescribed with Gonal F 175 IU for 10 days. Indeed it is very expensive from STORK (pharmacy), does anyone know where I could get it cheaper in the UK. I've tried my local Asda Pharmacy, and they've confirmed Gonal F is not available either.

I had my first round of IVF before Xmas:10 days of Buserelin then added 12 days Gonal- F: 8 eggs retrieved , double transfer but failed. At 7 days of Gonal F my scan showed 15 follicles, they reduced to what we were expecting (7-10 based on AFC) by egg retrieval.

But 3 days later is the day 5 of my period is it too late to start gonal f? Thanks!

I’ve been suggested to try a stimulated FET with gonal f.

At baseline I had 41 follicles in total counted so we started off with 150 gonal f. At my next scan the growth wasn't significant. I started luveris with the gonal f and then cetrotide in the am. 2 days later, the scan still showed little growth so my gonal f dosage was doubled.

During that round I only had 2 eggs retrieved, both poor quality, both didn’t fertilize ☹️ The NHS has me on Gonal-F 450IU and Luveris 75IU. Did anyone else see a better response on this medication? Thanks!

Has anyone had Gonal F alongside Meriofert? I'm 40 and my first round of IVF didn't work. I know my chances are slim due up egg quality but I'm hoping my second round with this change in medication might help. Has anyone had this and what are your experiences? Thank you xx

First try in July I was on 225 Gonal F and 150 Menopur with no response at all. This time they upped it to 300 Gonal F and 150 Menopur which I think is the highest amount, again no response at all 😢 I have been taking all of the supplements, healthy diet, I’m a healthy weight etc.

I manage to speak with the doctor, but they decide to don’t change my protocol because for them I responded well, that mean we continued with only gonal f… I tried really hard, to ask them to change their mind, but nothing… I had 9 eggs 6 fertilise, and only one embryo… my follicle count was 19, I have

The clocks have gone back today - there will therefore be an hour difference between the time I took my Gonal F yesterday, 20:30, and 20:30 today. Should I bring the time I take my injection forward by half an hour for tonight to try and bridge the difference a bit?

I am on day 12 of stims, protocol 9 - 375 gonal-f. Same protocol as my 1st cycle where I had 3 eggs retrieved, 2 were postmature and the 3rd didn't respond well to icsi, so nothing to transfer. I had a scan this morning and 1 follicle is at 20mm, another is 12 and there are a couple of pluses.

Why would pergoveris be a better choice over gonal f? Has anyone tried pergoveris and had a better outcome? I think i’m just panicking as the date gets nearer. We ideally just want more blasts to send for pgta to hopefully get that all important euploid. Thank you xx

Had my first scan today, day 5, have been on gonal f for 5 days, and had a blood test done as well I had a call later in the afternoon to say they think I have a hormonal imbalance and a cyst that is causing problems so they are cancelling this cycle and will try again next cycle as don't think this

I was on 150 Gonal F and 75 Meriofert. We went again straight away but sadly this cycle got cancelled in day 8. I only had 1 follicle growing and was advised to cancel the cycle. We started our 3rd cycle on Friday 13th December.

Hi all, I am preparing for my next FET by using low dose gonal f to stimulate a follicle and produce natural oestrogen. I’ve had a history of thin lining and want to try to improve it. I was going to try the castor oil pack however I read somewhere that you can’t use it during stims.

How soon after starting gonal f do side effects happen? I'm on day 3 but I feel positive and ok, but is this too good to be true? Just wanted to be prepared for the emotional side of things. Hope everyone's weeks are going fab xx

My mock cycle included testagel, progyluton and cetratide (mid Sept to beg Oct) - I then moved onto stims- 150 Meriofert, 150 Gonal F, cetrotide and progesterone plus decapeptyl as trigger shot. stims were for 2 x 12 day periods between 2nd week Oct and early November So there have been a lot of hormones

Had my first Gonal F injection last night 200iu dose. This morning I've woken up with the worst headache, an upset stomach and generally feeling shitty.

I started nasal spray for down regulation day 21 of cycle and stims with gonal f on 12th July (225IU) Has anyone any experience in this? Thanks!

On day 4 of my 450 Gonal F injections daily. Since starting them I have quiet muggy headaches and keep waking up with a sore throat. Is this the norm. Or is it best to report it to my clinic. As read some do have them and they shift in a week or so.
