Leftover Gonal F: would you use on another IVF round?

Hello everyone,

I hope that you are all doing well. Last December, we went in for our first round of IVF which was unsuccessful and we have no frozen embryos. We are planning on a second try and have Gonal F pen 900IU unopened from our last round as well as a pack of Cetrotide. We had traveled with them to the country where we did our IVF and back home in cooling packs and have stored them since then in the fridge at 4°C. I am unsure if we can use them or just need to buy new ones, as they are very expensive. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

If not expired and stored properly I'd definitely use them

We travel for our IVF and if they’ve been stored correctly and are still in date I would use them again too.

I used some my medication from my last round within this one. But they changed my gonal f to menopur so I wasn’t able to use the rest. xxx

This is from the Electronic Medicines Compendium:

"6.4 Special precautions for storage

Store in a refrigerator (2°C‑8°C). Do not freeze.

Before opening and within its shelf life, the medicinal product may be stored outside of the refrigerator at temperatures up to a maximum of 25°C for a single period of up to 3 months. The product must be discarded if it has not been used within these 3 months.

Keep the cap on the pen, in order to protect from light."
