Unfortunately I got negative result today after 2ww embryos transfer. The IVF nurse told me they freeze 2 eggs but it’s B grade. What should I do now? Shall I use this B grade embryo or I will prepare myself from the beginning by Gonal F.

Sorry to hear about your negative result. Hope you're doing OK.

After my last failed transfer, I was wondering whether to transfer my last remaining frozen embryo or go for another round and have more eggs collected.

My consultant asked me how many children I want. If I was happy with one then I should just try with the embryo I have. He said there's no need to pay for another round of IVF when we still have one embryo left that we can use.

So that's what I'm doing. If it doesn't work out, then I can think about doing another round and collecting more eggs.

I've read that Grade B embryos still have a good chance of success (you could ask your consultant for some stats on this), so if you're happy to try again with the frozen one you already have then why not. If you'd rather try to get more eggs collected so you have more chances, then go for another IVF round.

Ohh thanks a lot for your this kind advice, today I was totally broken down and whole day I was just crying and feeling hopeless because I am 38years old. As I checked up my whole body ,I don’t have any health issues but my husband got very poor sperm quality and day by day it’s going low. That’s the reason I go for IVF.

Unfortunately I know the feeling all too well. It's really disheartening having a failed round 😔

38 is still a good age - I've seen success stories from lots of other ladies on here who are in their 40s. I'm 41, so also feeling the time pressure!

Best thing to do is talk through your options with your consultant. They should book you in for a follow up consultation now.
