I’ve been suggested to try a stimulated FET with gonal f.
Although it wasn't a success because it was a BFN, the stimulated cycle produced my best lining as opposed to both medicated which was a disaster for me and natural which was good but just struggled to get to 7mm with it. I stimmed with 100iu and the lining thickened to over 8mm so definitely worth a try.
Thank you for your reply. I’m really sorry it wasn’t a successful transfer.
can I just ask what you stimmed with? And did they monitor your oestrogen and progesterone levels?
I stimmed with gonal f for lining purposes for my last two transfers.
Both transfers we got positive tests but the first one ended in a chemical pregnancy and the second a silent miscarriage at 7 weeks.
My lining was the best it’s ever been but I did get a lot of follicle growth too. I had to force ovulation with ovitrelle and I was crippled with pain. That was with 150iu so for the second FET we dropped it to 75iu and I was much more comfortable xx
Thank you very much for your reply. I am so sorry they didn’t end up with successful pregnancies. Were these PGTA embryos? Did they figure out why both ended in a miscarriage?
They have suggested I do 75iu gonal f and then trigger with ovitrelle.
Thank you xx nope they weren’t pgt tested. I wanted to do it but my husband wasn’t keen.
I declined a D&C for the miscarriage and just opted for medical management. If i’d have had a D&C they could have tested the tissue but the procedure can destroy your lining and mine is already paper thin.
The consultant thinks it was just to a chromosomal abnormality but we will never know. So our subsequent cycle we did do pgta x
hello! Yes I had a stimulated FET and that was the one that worked for me! I can’t do a fully natural one due to irregular cycles etc but my body preferred a stim one to a fully medicated one as it was more natural and better for my progesterone levels too.
Good luck!
