Advice and recommendations please

Hello, I’ve unfortunately just had my second round cancelled due to no response. First try in July I was on 225 Gonal F and 150 Menopur with no response at all. This time they upped it to 300 Gonal F and 150 Menopur which I think is the highest amount, again no response at all 😢

I have been taking all of the supplements, healthy diet, I’m a healthy weight etc.

I am 34 and have been single for 10 years with unexplained infertility. My AMH is 3.6 and I have an AFC of 2 this year.

I’m really torn on my next steps as I need to change clinics now (I was funded on NHS as I have BRCA2 gene) so I’m looking for some advice on a couple of things.

1. Has anyone had any luck with natural or natural modified IVF?

2. Can anyone recommend any clinics in the South East or London they have used - please PM me.

3. Has anyone used any clinics abroad they would recommend? Please PM me.

4. Do I even bother with my own eggs.

I’m feeling absolutely crushed from this cycle and really lost as to what to do next.

Thank you 💐

I am so sorry to hear this. I know how devastating it can feel - I wasn’t quite in same position but I had poor response and 1 egg collected in my first IVF cycle using 300 units FSH.

I don’t have a lot of advice. It sounds like you’re doing all the right things in terms of what you can control. Only thing I would say is you don't have give up on your own eggs yet - you’ve still got age on side so even if it’s low numbers of eggs you eventually can achieve hopefully quality should be good.

Using FSH only seemed to work better for me at high dose (mixed FSH/LH regimen gave us our worst result yet). I know there are others though who’ve done better with a mix or with low dose/natural type IVF - sadly it probably will be trial and error to find what works for your body.

Many do seem to respond better with some priming eg testosterone (worked reasonably for me), oestrogen (didn’t work for me) or adding things like letrozole alongside gonadotrophins in stims (not tried yet).

I hope you find a doctor who gives their all to find the right combo for you ❤️sending so many hugs as I cannot imagine how hard this must be to do on your own, you’re a brave lady 💪but I do hope you have some support around 🤗

Hi,

I’ve had 4 rounds of ivf with one successful round of 450 gonal f for week 1 and 375 menopur and I got 11 eggs that were mature.

I went with Chelsea and Westminster hospital private fertility. The doctors need to personalise your treatment and what you received wasn’t the highest levels.

Don’t give up keep going on this journey! I would switch clinics.

Best of luck
