Thick lining

Hi, it’s my second day of my period, plan to start Gonal F today but todays scan shows thick lining of 9.5, so plan changed, so no gonal f until 3 days later for another scan , then start stim if lining gets thinner, never experience this before, anyone has similar experience? But 3 days later is the day 5 of my period is it too late to start gonal f? Thanks!
