Hello everyone. I'm currently day 12 of stims for my second egg collection. First went well 8 eggs collected but only 2 survived. We transfered 1 at 5dp but it resulted in early pregnancy loss after 4 weeks. We decided to do another egg collection. At baseline I had 41 follicles in total counted so we started off with 150 gonal f. At my next scan the growth wasn't significant. I started luveris with the gonal f and then cetrotide in the am. 2 days later, the scan still showed little growth so my gonal f dosage was doubled. I had another scan yesterday and only 2 follicles are over the 14mm mark.
I'm still on 300iu gonal f and 75 luveris. Also taking cetrotide. Is there anything else I could be doing to give these follicles a natural boost?? Has anyone had a similar experience??

Just wanted to say thinking of you - keep doing what your doing ! The 2 follicles are doing well and heading in the right direction ie getting bigger Eat well and drink plenty of fluids - continue your meds as directed Hope you get some helpful replies to your post
I’m 34 with very low AMH, scans before commencing showed very few follicles.
I therefore did my best to lose some weight, eat very cleanly (no processed food, very little sugar, no caffeine - I’ve never been an alcohol drinker), I have been taking a liquid sachet supplement that has all the relevant fertility boosters and also coQ10.
I have been taking 225iu Gonal F day 2 and certitude from day 6.
It could be unrelated but from expecting only 4-5 mature follicles, the scans are showing 8 a good size and potentially 4 more that will have grown in time for egg retrieval on day 12.
it’s very hard to know whether anything you’re doing is making a difference but I feel like I’ve given it the best possible shot with the lifestyle, diet and supplements!
Also I drink a lot of water - I’m finding I’m thirstier than ever on these meds!
Wishing you all the very best and hope both of our retrievals, fertilisations and transfers are successful! (So many hurdles!) xxx
Hello WanderingWonder - thank you for your reply.I've been doing the same things as you. Fortunately I live a very healthy lifestyle and my only real weakness is coffee and chocolate but not excessively. My AMH has been good (slightly above normal) when beginning this whole process. I think I should have been less naive to think that 2 egg collection journeys could be the same the Dr increased my Gonal F dosage to 300 for the last 5 doses and my follicles kicked into action a little more. I was instructed to take my trigger last night (buserelin) and will be heading in for retrieval tomorrow morning at 7.30am. We're hoping that they'll be able to retrieve 10-12 follicles.
How are you managing your journey? Wishing you the best of luck for it all!
Ahh good luck for tomorrow, 10-12 is really great and I hope it all goes to plan! How are you feeling about it?
I’m so sorry for your early loss, the ups and downs much be gut wrenching. Im at the beginning of my IVF journey, the people close to me urge me to be positive but I’ve read a lot and I’m trying to prepare myself for a lot of trial and error and heartache.
As it’s my first time, I’m just trying to absorb what’s happening so I can prompt for any changes that might help next cycle.
Feel free to direct message me any time if you want to vent or share xxx
