Hello, Hope you're all ok! I am new here, and newly diagnosed with PCOS. Just after a bit of advice please :) A bit of background info, I've been trying to get a diagnosis for a year now (had a long wait for an endo apt). It started last year in October when suddenly after being on Depo for two years

Metformin Inhibits Prostate Cancer Progression by Targeting Tumor-Associated Inflammatory Infiltration
New study. I'd like to point out that a mouse study should not be rejected out of hand because it is not a human study. "Purpose: Inflammatory infiltration plays important roles in both carcinogenesis and metastasis. We are interested in understanding the inhibitory mechanism of metformin on tumor-associated

Aspirin, metformin and propranolol
Below I have copied a letter to the British Medical Journal in 2012 by a Scottish doctor whose name I did not keep. It was a response to an editorial on findings about aspirin and cancer. It may be of interest to some of our correspondents. Re: Aspirin and cancer prevention Reply to BMJ Editorial of

16 years with metastatic prostate cancer - latest news
When I put up my last post, I expected the follow-up to be fairly straightforward - you know, radium 223 has worked a bit, but only a bit, and I’m moving onto something else/PSMA targeting/immunotherapy. But, that hasn’t really happened. The prostate cancer had other ideas. I’ll come to that, but first

Should I lose hope?
So went for my follow up outpatient appointment a couple of weeks ago and we were expecting to receive my partners sperm test results but hospital hadn’t received them back from the clinic. My consultant prescribed a further 3 months of clomid paired with metformin as I had showed signs of ovulation

neon orange urine
Good afternoon friends, Has anyone taken or taken metformin had the neon orange urine? I do not think it's a liver because the stools are normal. In fact, I'm not sure it's metformin, although it coincidentally coincides with when my husband started taking it. Or if there is someone who has happened

Liver Function and Bisoprolol.
I am in permanent AF and it does seem reasonably well controlled with 7.5mg of bisoprolol and a pacemaker. My blood test results for liver function have been relatively normal but for raised tryglicerides for which I am prescribed Pravastatin and Omacor concentrated fish oil tables. Liver function tests

PCOS and depression
Hi, I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago, and have since had a diagnosis of depression. I receive treatment for my depression, and I've previously had Metformin and spironolactone, neither of which helped me. The specialist has said there's nothing else they can do for me, and have discharged me
