Feeling sad and discouraged
The blows just keep on coming for my dad. It’s getting more and more difficult to stay positive. I am feeling so sad and deflated. Last Thursday was his 5th chemo (Taxotere) and PSA is still rising. Up to 25 from 22 just 3wks ago. Nothing seems to be working for him and I’m getting extremely anxious

New to PCOS, treatment and advice
Hi, I am a 21 year old recently diagnosed with PCOS although I expected it for a while. I was put on the contraceptive pill(Yasmin) and also metformin as a constant treatment for my PCOS. I have always disliked all the hormonal pills being put into my body, and have heard of a few women treating there

PCOS PERIODS & RUNNING.
Today I started week 4, run 1. It was a new kind of challenge for me in so many ways as I've started my period. It's also a few days early, which is new to me as well. I have PCOS. For those of you who are unaware of this condition, its an ovary condition that causes painful cysts to stick to your ovaries

FROSTY RUNNING!
Hey runners! I didn't get a chance to write here yesterday as I had such a busy day that when I got a chance to lay down and look at my phone I fell asleep! Yesterday morning I went running out in the freezing cold frost in a pair of shorts. I didn't want to get my jogging bottoms wet or muddy and so

antihypertensive drug syrosingopine enhances metformin's anti-cancer efficacy.
Came across this on Metformin and syrosingopine. I have been taking 1000 iu of metformin a day in two doses. Could the wise ones on this forum share their thoughts on this report? I am Metastatic and CRPC and currently on Zytiga after 12 years of diagnosis. I dread the day when it may stop working as

Another step done
I am so very relieved! I am on Metformin just two weeks and it is nothing exciting but I had my period starting today and that is actually a huge relief. My last period I had in October last year, and before I have to admit I was not very bothered that I didn't have my period. It was in a way nice not

Metabolic syndrome [MetS], C-reactive protein [CRP] ... levels & clinically significant PCa
New study from Spain below. Three of my favorite PCa subjects (they also looked at testorsterone [T] as well as MetS & CRP, but there is no mention of their T findings in the Abstract, so T was presumably not positively associated.) "A total of 524 patients were analysed, being 195 (37.2%) subsequently
