Same symptoms

So I go for some bloodwork tomorrow. This is good because I'm having some of the same symptoms as before. I'm becoming heated again, retaining water and the scale is going up. Only 2 lbs but when I was losing it would flicker on a lower number than it settled on, now it flickers higher. I'm still having right sided pain. I've had bad headaches 2 weekends in a row. I think the Metformin is no longer working. Sigh.

Why do you think the metformin isn't working? Do you test daily? Have you been diagnosed with liver disease? Sorry for all the questions but unless I know the issue I can't advise you. Take care. Deb

Yes I have liver fibrosis. Prior to being diagnosed I was sweating profusely and retaining crazy water. After I was diagnosed I was put on Metformin and lost 10 lbs in 1 week, I'm sure all water. Since then I've lost almost 40lbs. This weekend I've been sweaty and retaining water. I've gained 4lbs. I had my bloodwork done this morning. I was prediabetic and my triglycerides were through the roof. After the Metformin most of my bloodwork went back to normal and even my liver enzymes went down. I've changed my diet and use of chemicals and most everything I can think of. I don't take any OTC meds. I'm just scared of the changes especially after all my hard work.

Metformin causes kidney problems they are the same problems I am having and it's because my kidney function is shit ... I have been taken off the Metformin now ... So don't panic until they check your bloods
