Low carb vegetable cheesy bake with crispy baby parsnips
Hi everyone, here's what I made for my evening meal tonight, its locally grown vegetables cooked in a cheese sauce, cauliflower mushrooms and baby tomatoes with crispy baby parsnips which I really like. It is interesting as Matt posted about saturated fats and I used whole milk (goats) butter and strong

Getting too skinny
Is anyone else having trouble maintaining their weight? I know it’s usually the opposite with pred! I lost weight at the beginning of PMR/GCA, then gained a few pounds back. Then I went low/carb, no wheat, grains, etc. I’ve had a couple of flares and lost some weight during each one. A few

Weight loss, again
Hello all I realise that this post got long, so I'll summarise here, and then expand afterward: thyroid treatment now probably optimal; low resting metabolic rate; how to lose 15-20 kg? So, now, I feel well enough to try to lose weight again. Yes, it is real weight, not retained fluid. I'd like to lose

Itchy?
Is anyone else itchy? I've got little sores on my head and little pimply things on my back - I have a bit of blood on my sheet or pillow most of the time (this isn't recent), and sometimes when I scratch there is red blood. I've had it to a certain degree most of the time for years, but it's worse lately

Hello, I'm a newbie here. My name's Jake or 'Cub' whichever is easier for you to type. Anyway, I'm here to get some diet and exercise advice if possible so I can lose some of my flab. what happens if stop Metforamin?
I've read that if the eGFR is <30 the doctor will most likely take you off Metforamin. My husband's been on it for about 3 years. If he has to quit, will his diet become more strict as far as carbs, etc? Or is there a different drug? Since diagnosed with T2, he's lost over 100 pounds and I'm thinking

Low carb ideas please? 🤞
Good morning all. In an effort to try and lose weight I am going to try reducing my carb intake. But I am really stuck for ideas on what to eat instead of bread and potatoes!!! My go to is always a sandwich at lunch and I want to change this habit. Any suggestions would be fab! Thanks!

Scared everyday in case it returns....
Hi there, I was diagnosed with pAF a few months ago after doing a very low carb diet and drinking too much Pepsi Max. I had a single attack (first time ever). I was put on 2.5 mg of Bisprolol. My heart scan came back as a “very good” structure and function. I have occasional ectopics at certain times

Low carb diets...???
I really need to find out more about this. A couple of days ago, I got my lab results back and they are clearly indicative of insulin resistance: fasting glucose 110 mg/dL (ref 70-105) and fasting insulin 18 uU/mL (ref 2.6-24.9; should be <5 according to several low carb forums I've visited). Anyway,

Coeliac still showing symptoms
Since the diagnosis (2 months ago) I have moved to a
gluten
free
diet
where I have now started to experience stomach cramps and pain again. Is it normal to continue to have symptoms of coeliac even with a
gluten
free
diet
? If so what is the normal time frame to expect such symptoms to disappear?
