Pain below right ribcage
I have had multiple CT scans and MRIs and none of them show cirrhosis, but they show fatty liver. I've had a burning pain below my right rib cage for over a month...it hurts bad! My last liver enzyme tests were within range. I have been on a diet since this started and I've lost 18lbs, but still have

About 6 years ago I had some a full set of blood tests done and 3 years later I had more of which I was told that my LFTs were deranged and that they could t understand why the previous Doctor didn’t raise any concerns as my ALT levels were over 1200 and my AST in high hundreds. This time the enzymes

Super Confused
In January 2011 I was told I was AMA+ and I had PBC. In December 2011 I had a lap band removed and while they we in there I requested a liver biopsy. The results showed I had PBC. I refused any medication for PBC because I was not taking medicine that "may" help slow dow the progression of PBC. Last

Ascites Long Term
Hello All, I've had Ascites now for eighteen months. At first I confused the symptoms with a hernia that I had which has since been repaired. After a visit to my GP, he told me I had IBS and gave me some pills to alleviate that. Two weeks later I was back at the GP's. This time he examined me and said

update
hi to those of you that follow me on here and those who don’t just wanted to do a quick update. So I saw Transplant consultant last month and he said I probably won’t live 5 years without a transplant. I went back yesterday as follow up as they are now seeing me monthly, and we’ll I was totally surprised

I am in the throws of reading Chris van Tulleken's book Ultra-Processed People. It has been an eye opener. Not that one hasn't been aware of the harms of processed food but perhaps one has been unaware at how extensive it is and also how seemingly malicious for corporate gain? What does come out is

Biopsy and Fibroscan
Hello I was diagnosed with PBC in May after they removed my gallbladder and took a liver biopsy. My questions is...the biopsy state I was Stage 1 but I received a phone call from my gastro yesterday who told me I am at Stage 3 and probable Stage 4 according to the fibroscan. I'm not sure why the discrepancy

Vitamin A - retinol.
Dr. John Campbell posted a video about how low vitamin A (retinol) levels predispose a person to experience pneumonia from the Mycoplasm pneumoniae which is currently at near epidemic levels among children in northern China. No surprise here to be honest considering the severe lockdowns. Children have

What Causes Itching
What else besides elevated bilirubin would cause itching with liver disease? My bilirubin level is normal but I itch like crazy sometimes.
