Very Worried
Hi, I have posted on here before but not for a while. My Husband was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver (non alcoholic) 2 years ago and given 6 months to live. However his willpower has kept him going. He sleeps an awful lot and is on a lot of drugs. He has been going downhill quite quickly lately

Ultrasound Result after Elevated ALP
I got my US result this morning and it states that Liver is slightly echogenic possibly due to fatty infiltration. My family doctor thinks it is a fatty liver but I should get a second opinion from specialist. I have scheduled an appointment with gastro on August 24th which is the earliest they have.

Hubby update, saw Hepatology Registrar
Hubby was very shocked at what she said. Hubby had a CT scan recently, it shows the lymph nodes in his lungs are stable, they are about 12mm in size. His liver is still Decompensated. She told hubby that his condition is very serious. She said that if he does not stop drinking, then he probably has

Dizziness and Autoimmune Hepatitis
Hello. I was diagnosed with AIH a few weeks ago and keep feeling very dizzy and like there is a lead weight inside my head with pressure at the back of my eyes and feeling weak. I have been started on a course of Prednisolone and Adcal-D3, my question is could these issues be due to the side effects

Anyone here have ascites at diagnosis and gone into long remission/no recurrence?
I had a small amount of ascites at diagnosis (stage 4 HGSOC). It came back much worse a month after debulking surgery, one month into chemo. I had over 1000ml drained three times & then it stopped. I’ve just finished 6 lots of chemo & it’s not come back. I just read a medical article saying that the

AST 71, ALT 60, 1.183 ratio.
I just got results from my blood test and the results have me a little worried. My AST was 71 and my ALT was 60. Which comes out to a 1.183 ratio, which says can be indicative of cirrhosis. I am a 37 year old male, in really good shape, but I have been a relatively heavy drinker throughout my life. Particularly
