Coagulation markers as independent predictors of prostate cancer aggressiveness.
New study below [1]. Altered coagulation factors are an early event in PCa. Indeed, the first sign of PCa in some men may be a deep vein thrombosis [DVT. The study authors wondered if there were coagulation factors associated with aggressive disease. Only fibrinogen & D-dimer were determined

Fiber
I have taken three doses of Metamucil daily for many years. This should alleviate any constipation and adds healthy fiber.

Neuropathy
Are there any new helpful remedies to ease the discomfort of this neurological disorder? I am into another round of chemotherapy, docetaxel and Carboplatin and would love to have minimal addition to the discomfort I already endure.

Hot flashes?
Am having ever more hot flashes and sweating around my neck over last several months. Could it be the steroids? In the distant past, was relying on welbutrin for depression but got hot flashes and changed to escatolepram. In the last few years I started taking a small dose of welbutrin in addition

Can you 'demand' Tocilizumab for GCA?
I was diagnosed with PMR in January 23, responded well to steroids (15mg) but quickly developed GCA symptoms (severe headache pain, blurred vision and jaw claudication) when these were reduced to 12.5mg after 3 weeks and 'normal' CRP/ESR tests. I was referred to Ambulatory care but an ultrasound showed

Tocilizumab
Hi. Has anyone had Tocilizumab injections for pmr? I've been looking at recent research which seems to suggest favourable outcomes for pmr sufferers who have problems tapering prednisolone.

From menopur only to combo stims (menopur & gonal-f) - aged 42
Hi ladies, I'm starting another round and wondered if anyone has had luck on both menopur and gonal-f? For my previous 4 cycles I've only been on menopur. This new Dr said I have many follicles at baseline however not enough eggs retrieved and that with extra FSH from gonal-f I may get more eggs. [b

Gonal-F protocol - help in understanding dosage...too high/too low/just right???
Hello all, I am 45 years old with AFC of 8, FSH of 9.2 IU/l (1.5-133.4) and AMH of 10.5 pmol/l (0.1-19.3). My doctor is proposing a protocol of 75 of Meriofort + 300 of Gonal-F for the first 4 days and then 375 of Gonal-F. I am wondering what others think of this protocol (if reasonable given my age

Meralgia paresthetica
Does anybody know if it is possible that this only affects you when you go to bed at night? After 5 to 10 minutes of laying down, I begin to get a tingling sensation from my hip to my knee. I often feel like I need to stretch or foam roll for temporary relief, though once I lay down again the sensations
