Gonal F Pen needle is stuck - aaaargh!
I have a
really
embarrassing problem. I started my first stims phase last night, and used the Gonal F pen for the second time tonight. But the needle won’t come off for love nor money! The white cap won’t ‘click’, or unscrew the needle (I’ve also used a cap from another needle in the pack - but

Opioids
Good morning one & all I am, as you know, now on 2,100 gabapentin taken in divided doses in the evenings to no avail. Today I spoke to my GP and to my amazement he is happy to start me on low dose oxycodone (to take at night). Thank you so much Sue & Jools for suggesting I sent him all the articles

Lidocaine Plasters/Patches.
Hello Everyone I've just been told by my GP that he can no longer prescribe Lidocaine Patches and instead there is a cream!. I've been having them for a long time for neuropathic pain and just wonder if this is correct.?. Also, is anyone trying the cream called LMX and how are you finding it?. Hope

spasmonal (alverine citrate for constipation
hi has anyone tried this for constipation as I’m still struggling with constipation which leans on my bowel due to long redundant loops if my bowel. Apparently Spasmonal helps with spasms for the bowel and uterus I haven’t got a uterus anymore but might help bladder spasms too?? But I’m wary as I thought

Update on my previous post trapped nerve and PMR.
After an MRI on my spine I do not have a trapped nerve in my back and my pain is two vertebrae bones crumbling. I have come to the conclusion that the pain in my back and bottom area is mainly my PMR flare, it is so bad I can't move without pain while in bed. Tried increasing my pred dosage from 6mg

Long haul flight uk to Vancouver
I fly out to Vancouver at 2.00 pm so I can take my usual two doses of Gabapentin on the flight, I will land at about 4.00 pm Canadian time. Any suggestions to how I can manage the time change would be very welcome. The thought of jet lag combined with out of control RLS is frightening. I tried to discuss

Fybro & CBD - homemade cream
I have been diagnosed with FM 3 years ago, just before the first COVID-19 lockdown . As almost everyone here - lots of changes in medication, no real GP appointments, uneffective Pain clinic , etc.Had to find alternatives myself. I hate the smell of cannabis, just the smell makes me sick. So I concentrate

Anyone had lots of eggs but no embryos from 1st cycle any chance on 2nd cycle?! Change stims? Change clinic?! Supplements?
I'm 39, have PCOS but they think it's more hypothalamic amenorrhea that's causing annovulatuon. Clomid and letrazole didn't work. I have a high AMH, BMI just got above19. We just did our first and only cycle of IVF allowed on NHS and I got 14 eggs collected from over 15 follicles & oestrogen was over

Indomethacin - resenisitize to Enza
In a preclinical study indo seems to resensitize to Enza by blocking CRXR7 thus indirectly AR-V7. The trial was started in 2018, results should be known in July 2023. Does anybody know anything from that trial? I just rechallenged with Enza bringing PSA down from 7 to 0.5, if adding cheap indo prevents

Chronic constipation
hi so I have been suffering with severe chronic constipation soft stools for almost 3 years, they have done testings and ruled out nothing. I always feel it in my rectum and they did a defecography on me last week and found an intra-anal intussusception and a 2.5 cm Rectocele. I am confused on this.

Magnesium salts and RLS: malate, glycinate or citrate
Just following up on a recent post recommending magnesium malate for RLS, quoting recommendations made by Californian company Pure Biogenics in promoting their RLS supplement Seratame. Looking into this, experiments on rats suggested that malate may be the most bio-available form of magnesium; there

6 years on after mtbi abroad and only just accepting I’ve got PTSD and/or chronic PCS but difficulty getting help/diagnosis from GP
I had a nasty slip fall in summer 2017 while working abroad and had loss of consciousness and concussion. It wasn’t handled well by (U.K.) employers and looking back, I only received basic healthcare. In shock and unable to continue working, I just wanted to get as far away as possible and to forget
