GI bleed ,?Dieuiafoy lesion clipped.
I have SLE,RA, Raynauds etc. In November I had a GI bleed and was discovered to have a possible ?dieuiafoy lesion , 9 clips were used to stem the bleeding via a gastroscopy. I would be very interested to hear if anyone else has had a similar problem who also have SLE.I am due to have repeat gastroscopy

Cancelled gastroscopy
I was summoned for yet another gastroscopy on Saturday morning ( my 3rd in 5 months) I took my completed medical questionnaire with me and gave it to the nurse. She asked me all the usual questions, checked my blood sugar and INR which were fine. I was canullated and went into theatre. Once I was on

Had my first Gastroscopy
So, finally got a gastroscopy done. The hardest part was waiting to go in. I opted for sedation. So I was wanting them to hurry up and get on with it as once the sedation was in I knew I wouldn't care about anything at all. And this proved to be very true as I don't really remember too much about that

I recently had a gastroscopy the results are inflammation at the top and bottom and erosion at the bottom of the stomach. I have Hypothyroidism and Pernicious anaemia. I have arthritis, very sore and painful joints and stomach. I am going to try a gluten free diet. Any advice please.

Another gastroscopy
I got a letter today with an appointment for yet another gastroscopy this Saturday morning. This will be my third since july last year. That's on top of 2 CT'S with contrast, an MRI, a capsule endoscopy, a colonoscopy and a liver biopsy. I'm sick of constantly being at the hospital. I've got two appointments

How my AF started...
Question for all the very knowledgeable people on here: Background: I had a Sleeve Gastrectomy (weight loss surgery) in 2012. Extremely successful up until 3 years ago when I began to gain weight but I wasn’t eating more. Then I started having to force myself to be sick after eating just a tiny bit

Back pain after eating
Hi Wondering if anyone can offer advice? I had a total gastrectomy 3 weeks ago, so I’m aware it’s very early days and everything is probably working really hard. I’ve been doing ok, I was having a few hard days over the weekend, bloating and uncomfortable and diarrhoea. I’ve been given digestive enzymes

What a day
I saw my EP this morning and he’s taken me off Amiodarone (yay!). I’m not sure how I’ll go when it eventually gets out of my system. I’m still on Digoxin and Atenolol but even the 3 drugs together weren’t controlling things fully. He was discussing the prospect of another ablation. This will be number

Question following serious medical condition
Hi, This is my first time here, I'm happy to have discovered 'BHF' who are almost certainly best to answer my query: I was diagnosed with 'Extra Hepatic Portal Hypertension' as an infant (59 years ago), I suffered with regular haematemesis all through my childhood, until having previously had a partial

Gall Bladder Removal
Hi all. I have Hashi' s and PA. A recent Gastroscopy revealed stomach erosion and inflammation. I had my gallbladder removed several years ago and wondered if that had any effect on the acid balance in the stomach. Any information please.

Hashimotos
Hi all, I am new to this very interesting site. I have hypothyroidism and take 150mg daily. I have B12 injections every 3 months. I recently had a gastroscopy test with the results being inflammation and erosion at the stomach base. My GP put me one Omeprosole prior to the test, one a day. The surgeon

Left sided pain and blockage feeling
TL;DR – Have painful left sided tummy cramps, feeling of stool blockage at the same site. Very soft stools, all tests and scopes return normal. Tried IBS supplements, diet change, painkillers, fibre supplements. This is something which has been bugging me for the better part of a couple of months now

Sleep, Nausea Headaches and AF
I had my 6 monthly consultation with my EP and with my Gastroenterologist back in early December. My nausea continues but not as bad as it has been. Yesterday I had a gastroscopy in which they diagnosed a hiatus hernia and also took two biopsies. No specific info right now and in reality it was a matter

Potential colitis/proctitis after colonoscopy but no prescription?
Hi, For the past 8 months or so I have been having symptoms such as large amounts of mucus only movements, urgency and cycling between constipation and loose stools. I had a blood test and stool sample which came out normal and I thought I perhaps had ibs. in the last few months I began having much

Reflux and chest pains
Hello and Happy New Year! I've been posting on the asthma UK forum for a while about ongoing chest pains/breathlessness which have had me in and out of A&E for months. Now I've been told that it could be acid reflux (related to ibs) as opposed to asthma etc. Does anybody experience chest pains/breathlessness

Recent Gastroscope
Hi All Had another gastroscopy instead of Endoscopy Dec 19th. Oesophagitis ( already have Barrett’s) Hiatus hernia and removed 6 polyps. Probably why I’ve felt uncomfortable for so long. Biopsy results not for about another couple weeks but fingers crossed all ok, may need review of PPI ‘s ! Happy

Could B12 be my problem? Please help
Hi everyone, I haven’t had tests for PA but after a lot of research, doctors visits and tests, Im thinking b12 could be why I feel so terrible. I’ve felt beyond exhausted for about 2-3 years now and have become extremely depressed and anxious as a result. I have a little girl who I feel almost unable
