Confusion on fibroscan results
Hi All, my husband was recently told he had an enlarged liver ( spotted when having a gastroscopy ) and that he would get a follow up fibroscan - this took a few weeks and then we got the results by letter which completely shocked and scared us! It stated he had F4 liver cirrhosis and S3 fatty liver

Hi Everyone Thank you everyone for all of your lovely replies to my numerous questions over the past couple of weeks. You have been a lifeline to me. I had my gastroscopy today, and had to have one varice banded. I'm not sure if this is good or bad? On the one hand I was expecting to have at least

Very nervous - Gastroscopy/ Varices Banding
Hi Everyone. I'm getting very anxious as I have my gastroscopy next week. I'm not nervous about the actual procedure, I'm just very anxious about what they're going to find. My CAT Scan detected varices, and I'm just wondering that if they have to band them, does this mean my portal hypertension is

Hi Everyone. I cannot thank all of you enough for being such a supportive forum. Sometimes I need to read your positive posts to get through the day. I am going in next Friday for a gastroscopy. My specialist said it was urgent, and is already assuming that I will need banding. I just wanted to ask is

Anaemia caused by PRD?
I had pelvic/abdominal radiotherapy treatment almost 50 years ago and started to suffer problems with digestion about 20 years ago, put down at the time, to IBS. In 2017, I underwent a hemicolectomy and the surgeon told me at the time that my small bowel was quite damaged commenting that she was surprised

warning re gastroscopy and gastrografin for ME/CFS sufferers . Plus neuropathy ?
I saw a very nice colorectal surgeon who arranged a CT colonography - as I thought this would be physically less demanding than a full colonoscopy. Two days after the scan I spent the whole day throwing up violently. You can get a ‘rare’ delayed reaction to Gastrografin, the iodine contrast medium.

stomach polyps
Hi all I’ve addressed a thyroid issue - Hashimotos, with the help from the thyroid site. I’m still experiencing fatigue. I am in meno/post menopausal stage. Symptoms do over lap, but have suspected B12 issue for some time. Tend to get low active B12 results. Lots of B12 symptoms. Dr not interested,

I have metastatic breast cancer. I am taking Ibrance and fulvestrant. After a gastroscopy, I was diagnosed with an esophageal ulcer. The gastroenterologist prescribed me pantaprozole. After many studies and a call to Fizer, I discovered that Ibrance does not work fully with ppi. I do not know how to
