Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy
Hi, has anyone had a Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy procedure? My appointment is on Thursday and the information they sent gives me a choice of SEDATION so I am asleep for both procedures or have a throat spray for the gastroscopy and GAS and AIR for the colonoscopy. If I opt for the sedation, I have

Five years post T/G
It''s a little past five years since I've had a total Gastrectomy and at times I still suffer with dumping syndrome and reflux. Before the operation I was a healthy 140lbs weight, now I'm less than 126lbs. I've always lived a fit lifestyle and am presently running half an hour early each morning. I'll

I am new here and so far undiagnosed. I am just feeling my way in this surreal medical world. This is going to be a long post so if someone can bear with me long enough to give some advice it would be much appreciated. Countdown nearly over....
On 1st June went into hospital for a gallbladder operation. The Op was abandoned and the surgeon told me I had cirrhosis. Gallbladder stayed in but my symptoms suddenly went into overdrive!! Since then I've had blood tests galore, gastroscopy, MRI. I'm type 2 diabetic so have been referred to a specialist

1 month post Ivor lewis, retching & saliva build up.
Hiya, my partner (age 33) was diagnosed with a T2 N0 adenocarinoma in March this year, he has had 6 weeks of chemo and had the Ivor Lewis surgery on 30th July. He initially made good progress at home and was managing small meals however he then developed terrible nausea and retching, the only substance

Stomach problem causing havoc
I was just getting upright, all even and looking into the next stage of treatment, when my stomach starting causing issues. A fair few months ago my partner rushed me into accident and emergency because my stomach was in agony. I got some pain relief, some fluids and some blood tests, then told was probably

Well. Been and had my Gastroscopy. Went with a fairly open mind. Was given sedation and to be honest I remember him saying meds going in - then - that's the tube coming out now! The staff were very supportive. Seems my 'bits' are in tact! Conclusion was spine encroaching on Osophacus due to Osteoporosis

Hello, I had a gastroscopy on the 27th June, they said my duodenum looked atrophied, and took biopsies. Does anyone know how long is usual to wait for results? I'm thinking on phoning the gastroenterologist, but don't want to be too impatient!! I am in Kent. Thanks for your help x

Ovarian Cyst
Hi all, I'm a 54 year old post menopausal woman. A simple, fluid filled 5.3cm cyst was found on my right ovary one year past menopause. I saw a gynecologist as I'd also had some bleeding, which was just a normal period but which they wanted to check out. I had a CA125 blood test at the time which was

Subglottic Stenosis: positive P ANCA screen, Wegeners / GPA Diagnotic indicators, crusty nose, cyclophosphamide.
I've had 4 surgeries in 18 months for subglottic stenosis, a narrowing of the airway caused by chronic inflammation, though no definite cause has been identified. Lots of tests are negative for Vasculitis, apart from the P ANCA screen which has been positive several times. The more specific test for
