Esophageal cancer?
It has been 17 months of acid reflux, intermittent nausea, painful tightness around my lower ribs that starts from the LES area. The third gastroscopy showed mild swelling on lower LES, the biopsy showed only esophagitis. The CT scans that were done twice, the first one last year and the second one recently

Help needed! Asthma or not?
Hi there, I'm currently struggling with my health and need someone's insight. It all started after undefined virus infection beginning of March 2020. I had fever, sore throat, tight and burning chest, difficulties to breath and sleep. The fever was gone after two and the half weeks but I never

Nausea in the evenings
Hi this is my first post here! I wanted to ask if anyone else experiences nausea in the evenings, usually about 90 minutes to 2 hours after eating? What I'm eating doesn't seem to matter. I've had digestive problems for 5 years now, I've had blood tests, a gastroscopy, tried low fodmap for a while and

Blood in stool one time - puzzled
Hi I had a "minor" blood-in-stool episode, and while the doctor advises that it may be a one off (no further visible symptoms) but is going to seek further advice, I wondered if anyone here has had a similar experience. This followed a spasm- attack late the previous night. I get these from time to time

Stomach acid and PPI's
Hi I've, like everyone else with PA, have intrinsic auto antibodies, I've also gastric reflux, a hiatus hernia and chronic gastritis/duodenitis (had more than one gastroscopy done which showed it). I'm being treated with Lanzoprasole, on the orders of my gastroenterologist, for excess stomach acid

No Ranitidine, no alternatives available, chest pain, indigestion, impact on ulcerative colitis.
I cannot get hold of Ranitidine at present, I have taken it for 3 years in addition to Esomeprazole and after weeks without it I am now having some very uncomfortable indigestion and chest pain. I was h pylori positive 3 years ago but after eradication therapy had a negative result, but still with symptoms

Why are all tests normal? If I don’t have Crohn’s then what?
MRI enterography was normal (not really a surprise, everything is always normal). Does anybody have an idea of what could cause the following? I’ve been having symptoms for years but all these tests are normal. It started with mild gas issues, then it progressed to abdominal discomfort and gas when

PA B12 and H Pylori???
Hi all I haven't posted on here before but find the site really helpful. Sorry for the long post. I was diagnosed with PA about 1 year ago. I only know it's PA because my intrinsic factor test came back positive and I researched it myself. I had no conversation with a doctor! Sooo frustrating!

Vomiting every day for 11 weeks
I started vomiting 11 weeks ago, thought it was a sickness bug at first but didn't stop. Ended up in hospital on a drip. This has continued, I wake up, force myself to eat and vomit several times over a period of 4-5 hours until my stomach settles. If I don't eat every hour or so I get extremely shaky

New with a question of 2.
Hi all I have hashimotos and saw an endocrinologist in Dec. Had bloods done and I have parietal cell antibodies and a b12 result of 473 (197-771 pg/ml) was sent for a gastroscopy and biopsy and was told that everything is normal. I'd like to increase my b12 anyway so looking for recommendations. I already

A Christmas to forget.
On the 14 December I got up as usual around 05.00Hrs, walked into my lounge tripped and fell on the hardwood floor. The result: a fractured femur. Somehow I managed to get to a phone to ring 111. After a major operation I was kept in hospital right up to the last day of Dec, simply because I lived alone

Mass on thyroid advice
Hello there, I went for an mri last December, on my neck, the radiologist noted a 4cm x2 cmx2cm soft tissue mass which was thought to be an esophageal tumour, after a gastroscopy and a staging ct scan with contrast the consultant who I never met has discharged me back to the gp. My blood tests are normal

Any knowledge helps ...
I had my gastroscopy and colonoscopy and the gastroscopy showed normal, that my stomach and oesophagus and everything was fine. My colonoscopy showed that i have about 5 polyps and several ulcers in my colon. Does anyone know what this means? A general surgeon did my colonoscopy so he doesn’t know what

Confused about Barrett's 'disappearance'!?
Had a god awful gastroscopy yesterday and was very surprised that the nurse failed to find the 1cm Barrett's Oesophagus and dyplasia I was diagnosed with 6 years ago ( a sample was taken on that occasion and sent to the lab for testing ). Are there any recorded instances of Barrett's disappearing? I've

Urgent advice please re; gastroscopy throat spray
I have a severe reaction to novacaine but I'm okay with the local the dentist uses for heart patients, apparently it's the adrenaline that causes the swelling, palpitations and shakes. Just rang the endoscopy unit and no one knows if the throat spray for my gastroscopy contains adrenaline or not and
