Help!!

Hi, I’m after some advice/help, I have had severe eosinophilic Asthma for the last 10 years, I have been on most drugs from steroids to zolair, to kennolog , and for the last 12 months on Mepo.

After coughing and nebbing daily for 10 years my chest and wheeze is brilliant .

The problem I have now is chest pain, right in the middle of my chest between my boobs... it’s terrible keeps me awake at night and is debilitating.

I have had every test going from chest X-ray to CT scan, gastroscopy, numerous bloods and all have come back clear.

The only thing I can think of is it anything to do with years of coughing or my Mepo injections.

Has anyone experienced anything like this, I’m at a loss and miserable.

Hi, no I have no appetite and am being really careful when I do, it’s there all the time.

I’ve been taking 80mmg of omeprazole aday aswell...

Hi Jane,

I am sorry you are having this mid chest pain. I have had a chronic persistent cough for two years. I have fractured 5 ribs, now hahave an umbilical hernia and my diaphragm and ribs are sore often due to cough. Coughing is very hard on your body and it weakens muscles that cause pain.

I started wearing a rib belt which is helpful. Perhaps you need to try treating your muscle pain if that is the issue. Just my thoughts. Good luck.

Have a Doctor do lab work on your sputum. I had a lung infection for 8 months, was in a lot of pain, and a real hard time breathing. My heart Doctor decided to have my sputum sent to a lab. I had a lung infection for 8 months.
