Irish liver specialist

Hi. Just wondering if anyone on this site is Irish and can recommend a good liver specialist please here in Ireland.

Saw liver specialist in St. Vincents Dublin yesterday and was told I definitely have PBC, have AMA positive, raised GTT, ALT and cholesterol but that I don't need treatment because my ALP is normal.

That's great if I don't need meds but I thought everyone with PBC should have treatment.

Also I'm booked in for a gastroscopy, to look at my blood vessels. Anyone else have this with PBC.

I have a lot of fatigue, dry eyes and mouth and hypothyroidism.

Thank you

Hello. I’m not Irish but one of our members is. I contacted her. She sees Professor Suzanne Norris, hepatologist, at St Vincent Hospital.

Also, she said you can go to

dublin.my.doc and see drs attached to St James Hospital. I hope I got this info straight.
