Undiagnosed...& new here!
I've also had a stomach ulcer & atrophic
gastritis
(H. pylori Neg) and am prone to an oesophagitis, that can be triggered just from breathing some chemical like plastic car interior. I get Lupus-like reactions to drugs eg Plaquenil, Clexane.

Recovery is possible assuming you know what's really wrong - Part 6a -The Gut
Characteristic of autoimmune
gastritis
. And way late in the day. The UK seems happier to use terms and prescribe Zantac (now it's over the counter but it wasn't when I had it) than find out what's really wrong. Whoops another rant.

Recovery is possible assuming you know what's really wrong - Part 6b -The Gut
I do have atrophic
gastritis
B (caused by autoantibodies vs gastric parietal cells). This affects B12 absorption which I deal with via intramuscular replacement every 3 months.

Recovery is Possible - Assuming You Know What's Really Wrong... Part 4 - Symptoms vs Tests - The Immune System Piece of the Puzzle
The thyrogastric cluster includes 1. autoimmune
gastritis
(stomach - anti-parietal cell Abs and anti intrinsic factor Abs). This can cause full-blown pernicious anemia if untreated and lead to poor B12 absorption 2. Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (thyroid - covered above) 3.

Hypochondriac or hypothyroid????
I had
gastritis
6 years ago which resolved itself and I was fine since then. My G.P. conducted a full panel of blood tests.

Lower Right Side Abdomen Pain
Following that I have also found I have chronic active
gastritis
which seems to be a bit of a theme as I read more. Onto my question....I am having abdominal pain just above my right hip bone and slightly higher when my level of B12 drops just before a shot.

FODMAP DIET
I was advised to try this diet out by my Gastroenterologist after experiencing digestive symptoms caused by atrophic
gastritis
(due to B12 deficiency Pernicious Anaemia) FODMAP is basically is an EXCLUSION diet and should really be attempted whilst being supported by a dietician.

My Story So Far
Constant reg mouth ulcers through childhood (but common through family - at least 3 at most about 15-20) I had a stomach ulcer aged 15 randomly which left me with
gastritis
. Reg abnormal abdominal swellings which would last for a few weeks resulting in hosp admittance.

Can anxiety cause weight loss?
I'm currently taking omeprazole, as the doctor said it is possible that I have either stomach ulcer,
gastritis
, or dyspepsia. After a few weeks, I'm still getting pain on and off. Stools are fine. Had black specks on and off and was tested for anaemia. My blood is fine.

I had
gastritis
bypass over 15 years ago so I wasn't absorbing the methotrexate. I feel like the methotrexate is beginning to not work as the pain is back . Is is a trial and error game for many years to come? I also was getting steroid shots in the knees about every other month.
