PA from Autoimmune Gastritis - do the stomach issues improve?
I was diagnosed earlier this week with PA and early atrophic autoimmune
gastritis
, but I still have heartburn and some GERD-like symptoms. It makes me wonder whether there is something else going on?

Gastrin test
Some possibilities were atrophic
gastritis
and pernicious anemia. I definitely have been diagnosed with barrett's esophagus at the young age of 30.

An update.. Kinda scared.
So far Zollinger ellison syndrome, neuro endocrine tumors, and atrophic
gastritis
have all been entertained. Doctor thinks I'm very close to diagnosis but these latest possible diagnosis are scary! Sorry this was so long I'm just so worried and confused. Thank you to all who have read this far.

Parietal cell test
What I wanted to know is pernicious anemia related to atrophic
gastritis
or autoimmune AG? Is one caused by the other? Is there any specific tests I should have done to get a definite diagnosis? Thanks so much for reading!

Macrocytosic should it improve on b12 ?
Tests were done and it was decided it was PA. the cause is either Autoimmune met aplastic strophic
gastritis
, or the drug is known over time to block or kill intrinsic factor.

Had an endoscopy which said I have
gastritis
. I do have acid reflux which I take nexium. I was also given antispasmodica which make me constipated. These days I still have pain and go from constipated to diarrhea.

What is happening to my body!?
random abdominal aches, pulling sensations, stomach ache pains down my Lower rib cage (mainly after the eating) and under my right rib cage by my stomach when I breathe deeply, the doctor has put me on omprezole which has stopped the acid reflux but not the pains so I'm being tested for h pylori and

Ranitidine (Zantec): Warning in Immune (autoimmune?) Conditions. Anybody had any problems or have anymore information about this?
My GP recently prescribed a course of Ranitidine (histamine H2 receptor antagonist) for multiple duodenal ulcers /
gastritis
/ duodenitis. Prior to taking the tablets I read the patient information leaflet and it said to check with a pharmacist if there were problems with the immune system.

Is it the drugs, the condition, or something else?
I have long standing
gastritis
, for which I take lansoprazole. So far, I seem to have had few side effects (but also few positive effects!) from the drugs, and last week, my respiratory consultant suggested I start mycophenolate soon (I haven't done this yet).

How diet changed my life
They told me I had
gastritis
and If I felt bad again to come back.
Gastritis
is a swelling of the lining of the stomach. I was relieved, feeling a bit better but by no means well, frustrated at the lack of answers.

Update...
I asked about autoimmune megoblastic atrophic
gastritis
and apparently I can't have that because it would have shown up on the endoscopy and I would be REALLY ill as opposed to only slightly I'll I presume!

My medical history- any ideas?
Had another scope 3 months later and my esophagus was better, but still had
gastritis
. H pylori was gone. I recently had my cell antibodies checked, after I asked the gastro doctor to do this.

Should I continue?
I have had major problems with abdominal cramps,
gastritis
symptoms, nausea and diarrhoea for several days. I also have no appetite in comparison to reduced appetite before. I have just had the 4th injection and started folic acid again today. It made me feel more ill.

Aspirin damage
I had an endoscopy on Saturday and I have
gastritis
. Is there anyone out there who has had the same problem and how have they dealt with it? As I see it, I have to take aspirin for life (I had a CVA as well), so my question is, how can the stomach heal if I am still irritating it with aspirin?

Completely confused :-/
When I was speaking to the doctor about the
gastritis
I also mentioned my extreme tiredness which is becoming debilitating and given that I am a very strict vegetarian I asked for my B12 level to be checked.
