Bypass surgery burning, nausea from Amiodarone
My mother had double bypass for AFIB in May 2018. Her surgery was successful but not with some complications. She had two ablations done prior to the bypass. Both being on 4/7/2017 and 11/13/2017. The first ablation procedure was stopped due to a wire nicking an artery. The second was a success. The

Hi, i am a 37 year old male who suffered a heart attack In Dec 2017. After 2 failed attempts for a stent I had a double CABG 3 weeks ago, where I also suffered 3 broken ribs during surgery. Since the CABG I’m still suffering with extreme chest pain and recently my left arm has start to hurt again like

Life Insurance
Hi All, I had a triple heart bypass last year (pre-elected). We are moving house an I'm getting life insurance but most of the insurance companies won't touch me even though I consider myself fully recovered. The quote I have been given is £84 per month (that also includes my wife) but this is £70 extra

How many times can you have bypass Grafts?
Hi I'm new here. I have Congenital Heart Disease and I am a 50yr old male. In 2009 I had a quintuple (5) bypass surgery. I had been experiencing Angina symptoms again and consequently have had an Angiogram. This highlighted that 2 of the grafts are blocked, 1 partially blocked and 2 clear. I have been

Iron infusions
Oh, lastly, I forgot to mention that in 2008 I had
gastric
bypass
, and I no longer absorb vitamins and iron, etc., very well by mouth. So even if I take a lot of iron orally, my body just doesn't absorb it to where I benefit from it. Maybe that was the precursor to my eventual RLS?

Travel Insurance Dilemma...
Hi, I am a newbie on here. I am currently looking for travel insurance for a USA holiday. I had an heart attack 5 years ago resulting in bypass surgery. That’s easy to declare. However, since that heart attack, over the past 5 years I have very occasional random incidents of what my doctor thinks

Coming off Bisoprotol
Taking 2.5 mg after bypass surgery 8 mths ago. Now I believe the recent issues are due to this drug. Total insomnia cannot get off to sleep sever panic attacks and hyperventilation, frequency of micturition. Pharmacist told me to reduce dose by half which I have done this morning. Will it have any effect

Ribcage pain after CABG
Wondering if any readers have experienced pains (like a pulled muscle) in the ribcage after CABG? Recently I keep getting these in different places (usually back rib cage) that come and go. I hope I am not having a reaction to Atorvastin? (have been talking it for 10 weeks now)

Vitamin K2 and calcuim scores.
I am 75 years old, have always been fairly fit and had a good diet. A few months a go I learned that I had a calcium score of 1800 or so. I have now had a cabg. I have read many articles and watched several videos that declare that Vitamin K 2 can reduce calcium scores. What is the BHF view of this

Stent or CABG option
I cant figure this out. I had a stent fitted a month ago and have disease in three vessels. Someone i was talking to at rehab had similar disease and was offered either a stent or CABG. They went for CABG as the Dr said best option. It got me wondering - were they offered CABG as they had worse disease

Smiling at adversity through gritted teeth
Hi my fellow hearties, hope you’re all coping ok with the heat. Now that I’ve calmed down somewhat I’ll just share my week with you all. It’s been a mixed bag for sure. As I’ve previously posted, I have a moderate to severe leaky mitral valve, heart failure with an EF of 38%, and ischemic heart disease
