Three Months And 5,000 Steps
Someone said to me they felt three months was a turning point post bypass surgery. And having passed that stage I think it is! Fourteen months after presenting myself at my GP’s with chest pains and breathlessness I had a quadruple bypass. Mine lasted longer than usual and I was in hospital for eight

Ongoing heart things
I was a member of the Online Community but didn't know it had changed. I had a CABG 13 years ago and have lived a healthy life since then until earlier this year when I started to get angina attacks. I didn't realise straight away, nor did one of my doctors, as the pain was more in my left side to start

Heart bypass failure
Hi My mum has had results of her ct angiogram today and cardiologist has told her that potentially the grafts may have failed. Got to go and have angiogram through groin the next few weeks. Has anybody had experience of grafts failing and if so what happened?

Plaque Regression?
On September 10th, 2018 I had a Carotid Intima Media Thickness Test (CIMT) performed. The purpose of the test is to determine the degree of plaque accumulation and stenosis occurring in the arteries leading to the brain. Three months post bypass operation, question on retained pacing wire.
Hi I had a double heart bypass in June and routinely as part of the operation temporary pacing wires are put in place. On removing the two wires post op, approximately 3 days later only one of the two wires was able to be removed the other was ‘stuck’ and therefore snipped at skin level after gentle

CONTINUED TIREDNESS - 4 MONTHS AFTER BYPASS CABG
How many other people have this continued tiredness? As normal a life as possible, exercise, walking, sensible food, no smoking, no alcohol. Sleep is also a problem, but not from pain. Love to hear from anyone with similar and if there is ever a remedy.

Trouble sleeping
I’m a new heart patient and had CABG x4 6 weeks ago. Sleep was a huge problem initially as had horrendous delirium under anaesthetic and that continued even when I returned home after 12 days. All exacerbated by having to have 2nd procedure as bleeding internally. I’m so much better now and although

THREE MONTHS DOWN FROM CABG - Open Heart Bypass
I am a 68 year old male and new to this web site and so concerned about the worries that some people have about pre and post operation, so thought I would just drop down a few points and if anyone would like my personal thoughts about the procedure then please feel free to ask. I am no expert however

HI all I am new here and struggling!!
My name is Angie and I have just had my 50th Birthday. I went into Morriston Hospital for a stent in May but due to arteries I had to have a double heart bypass. I was told that I was high risk and remained in hospital for nine days. I am currently attending Cardiac Rehab which seems to be helping

Champix after gastric bypass
Hi ... day 15 of champix and quit day! So far so good but I have to say it hasn’t really stopped my urge to pick up a cigarette. Wondering if this is because my body doesn’t absorb food in the usual way? I get terrible tummy cramps after taking it that last ten minutes or so. Is this usual? No
