Hello all, my father had a triple heart bypass in July at the age of 85. At that age, recovery will obviously be a lengthy process. However, I’m not noticing any recovering, and if anything he’s deteriorating. I’m obviously no doctor, but I can see he’s too unwell and/or lacks the confidence to walk

I’ve had some upsetting results.
Dear community, I had an angiogram last week and received a letter this morning that I wasn’t expecting. The results of the angiogram show I have severe heart disease . The circumflex coronary artery cannot be vascularised using surgery. They are going to do a bypass of left and right arteries. After

I need words, Wayne, for the live specialist
The bile reflux is not usually seen, but may show up after
gastric
bypass
surgery (which is not me.) So why do I have bile? And no, I won't take Nexium! So, finally, after months of the run around, I have a referral for a second opinion with the best liver specialist at UC.

PA from Autoimmune
Just was diagnosed with PA but not PA from a
Gastric
bypass
surgery. I went from a B12 of 86 to 280. I do feel better but my Endo dr said it wasn't increasing enough. I get 1 injection of B12 a month and I am a avid runner (training for marathon now).

Statins and Alzheimers
After my bypass surgery in March 2015, I was given a statin drug specifically, Rosuvastatin, 10 mg per day. After several follow up meetings with my cardiologist he gradually increased this to 30 mg per day. Initially I didn't experience any side-effects but by the 6 month I began to experience severe

Costochondritis following CABG
Hi everyone I wanted to find out if anyone else had suffered from costochondritis after their CABG? I am 3 months post surgery. Medication Caused my HA and subsequent tbp surgery
Hello all. Finally managed to get logged in here although Ive been involved with BHF for a while . Finally after 3 years of asking I was given my answer by a wonderful GP at my local centre . That question was what caused me to have to have a triple bypass. The answer was Diclofenac . I then asked that

get fit before bypass surgery!
Just a bit of advice to all waiting! My husband is 3 weeks after triple bypass surgery. he spent the 16 weeks waiting getting fit for it and what a difference it has made. He walked 15000 steps a day, gave up drinking and lost at least 12 kilos. He is 9000 steps and getting better, eating well and healthily
