Hi! Unfortunately, this sounds so much like my story! I have not posted for awhile and for the first time back on HEALTHUNLOCKED I was able to read some posts. Your post makes me so sad about the health care cris in America. Having a “living” donor is a miracle in itself! Best wishes in making that happen! I hope you are recovering from bypass. That was a huge challenge! I will continue to keep you in my prayers! Have you tried the GO FUND ME PAGE? Maybe you might be able to gain some financial support there!
hi thank you for the message and prayers i am from srilanka
I was so happy to hear from you! I was a World Geography teacher in and always appreciated learning about YALA NATIONAL PARK and, of course, The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic! I will h
hi how are you doing? yala is a nice park we have many historical sites we have a written history for more than 2500 years one day you should visit srilanka are you in face book? take care many blessings to you all
Have you talked with the social worker at your dialysis center? or the nurse that helps you with dialysis if you do it at home? If on dialysis they can help you to get Medicare insurance. If I remember correctly, you can be on Medicare for 3 years.
Best of luck!
No. Medically ESRD qualifies you for Medicare but you must have paid into the program to qualify. Once on Medicare due to ESRD it is for life unless you get a transplant. Once you get a transplant you have 3 years to find work and other insurance. If you get sick again and need dialysis you revert to lifelong Medicare as long as you're on dialysis. Try a go fund me. Hope this helps. Blessings #kindredkidneys
As soon as I started dialysis I went on Medicare. I was 49 years old. I received a transplant 2 months later and was on Medicare for 3 years. Medicare stopped and wound up on my husband's insurance until I turned 65.
hi thank you for the message i am from srilanka we dont have social workers in hospital
