Hi everyone , my dad is on ventilator since last 4 days. He had bypass surgery and because of some complications, his period on ventilator is prolonged. Right now he is on 35% oxygen , getting some medicine for heart support, some medicine for blood pressure. Guys what should I expect . Please give some advice and hope . I'm in so much stress right now

Hi Mn. Could you tell us whether your dad has suffered a hypoxic brain injury as a result of heart problems ? If so, could you tell us some more about his condition.

If not, you might find a forum dealing with cardiac issues more helpful than Headway which is for people with brain injury.

By scrolling down to the bottom of the page you'll find A-Z of conditions and their respective forums. Best wishes., Cat.
