Can I do anything to stave off persistent winter colds?
I was diagnosed in early stages two years ago. So far I have had no symptoms and I have 6 monthly blood checks and a telephone discussion with a CLL nurse. However I do get prolonged colds every winter - and that has been happening for about 5 years, other than that I am pretty healthy and fit. Has

Sorry for yet more questions. . . Has anyone had a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and dye test, who also has M.E/Chronic fatigue?
I know everyone is different but I was wondering how long people with M.E/CFS had taken off work to recover.

First mini illness of the year. Woke up sneezing, blocked nose and sore head. I tell you I used to be good with colds but with this HA it's about 100x worse! I feel death is coming, even thought I know I'm being dramatic my mind is taking over. I haaaaaate the winter! Actually detest it, bring back

Glucosamine sulphate tablets
When I was 2 wk into the programme I started with the dodgy knees during the doctor visit I mentioned I'd started on glucosamine tablets , he told me I didn't need them there just for arthritis . Well regardless I carried on taking them with the cod liver oil . I've run out of glucosamine & was wondering

DO BIOLOGICIALS EFFECT YOUR TEETH?
Hello all. I have been on Bologicials now for about 18 month or there abouts. In that time I have been having problems with my teeth. My left jaw has been effected with rhumatoid disease almost from the beginning and I put any pain in my mouth down to that. But I have noticed my teeth actually crumbling

It's A Start Along The Road To Recovery
I haven't written for a while as I finally got referred to an endocrinologist after seeing a different doc at my surgery and wanted to wait for the outcome of that. This GP had looked at my blood tests and disagreed with her colleagues in the practice that the tests were 'in normal range'. She said she

Week two of no alcohol and need to get back on the cod liver oil
It is Saturday evening and I am craving for a drink, but will resist the temptation. Only two weeks left to go. Now a while ago I ran out of cod liver oil capsules and never got round to buying some more, what a fool. I did not realise how much they help me as last weekend I hurt my knee and it is still

Vitamin D and 25(OH)D
Been wanting to write about vitamin D for ages, and many thanks for all your posts/advice on this and related subjects, so here is now my current view/understanding on it so far. Vitamin-D seems to be one of the key things we can take action on ourselves, to perhaps slow down the CLL growth rate. As

very cautious restart
I'm one if the folk who's been posting about sore knees. I started in September and got as far as w3r2 when I got a really sore and stiff knee (sort of a pinched pain, not the standard background "growly pain" that I've been getting for years. I also couldn't straighten my leg completely and had to sleep

Getting colds and infections after running?
I've been running since the spring and loving it but I keep having to stop for weeks at a time because of sore throats, colds and coughs. I had a cough in June/ July which turned into a chest infection needing antibiotics. This week I've picked up a cold and slight cough from my daughter so am not running
