Does anyone suffer with itching inside and outside the ear and what is the best treatment to use?
I have read previously of a link to PBC of itching of the ear and this is what I have put it down to. I suffer intermittently with this problem so I suppose I am fortunate in a way that it does not happen all the time (every 3/4 months).... I don't get itching any where else. I get severe itching inside

Maybe about a year ago I mentioned to my doctor that I seemed to catch every cold etc that was in the vacinity. She said "Of course you do - you've got an underactive thyroid!" I was stunned - I thought that would stop once I was on levothyroxine. Is she right? My manager is trying to put me on a

Dare I add a modicum of realism here
I am NOT against supplements if we have been advised them by our GPs or tests show us to be lacking in something.... But if you look around there are millions of people out there without fibro whose diets are probably a lot worse than ours and they are having a much healthier time than we are with our

Any experience of spinal cord stimulation?
Pain mmgt specialist suggests I try but it sounds like a torture! I can't face going to the gp for a referral to discuss because that's an ordeal and I always work myself up and end up sobbing so they think I'm a nut and I usually walk out with a prescription for anti Ds which I don't think work and

Smoking - Giving up
I have tried a few time over the years to give up but unfortunately the problem with my wife smoking allay made me go back to it, even after months without a cigarette I would start again (only maybe 10 to 15 a day) then on day my wife announced she was giving up. after a couple of weeks I felt she

Vitamin K2 experience anybody?
HI all. This may be old hat to many, but I've just run into a reference to vitamin K2 which talks about its helping issues to do with calcium and cholesterol handling, and other processes. Pardon if I've not got it exactly right as I only skimmed what was fairly basic information - but there seems

Is it normal to be this sick with a common cold?
Hi - barely functioning today really. Eyes and cheeks and jaw all on fire with pain, teeth especially. Why is it that when I get colds I can hardly surface these days? Bright lights hurt and I feel sick like a rat is gnawing my guts. Don't want to move let alone go to the GP with what is just a cold

Iron deficiency in 3rd trimester - can you still take calcium tablets?
I have just had my second set of bloods done (at 29 weeks) and despite being told I had 'phenomenal' haemoglobin levels after my first tests I have now been told I a low in iron and prescribed supplements of 210mg per day. I have also got calcium + vitamin D tablets and omega 3 cod liver oil tablets
