Bleeding on various hormonal contraceptives? It would be good to know I'm not the only person like this....

Hi all, sorry in advance for the long post but it would be good to see if anyone's going through or has gone through the same thing. Basic background is that I've had endo for years and have been lucky with pain reduction after lap excision a few years ago. My problem is that they're now trying to get me on hormones to control it but I've tried almost every type of pill, coil, implant etc going and I'm always really sensitive to hormones. Lots of side effects and always end up spotting. I started the implant about 18 months ago and had a great year with minor side effects and virtually no spotting. Almost exactly a year in I've started spotting which got worse. My gynae thought it might be due to the fact the hormone gradually reduces to the point it needs changing after 3 years (at least for contraception reasons). Maybe after a year the amount isn't enough to control my bleeding. They added another pill on top to up the hormone level and as soon as I started it I had no spotting at all...for a few months. Now it's all started again. I have an appointment late Jan but it would be interesting to see if anyone else finds this. Its like my body keeps getting used to the hormone I'm taking every time! Any responses appreciated and thanks for reading to the end! Xx

Have you tried a pill called Brevinor? Its taken back to back and is the only one that has worked to control my bleeding

Hi, thanks for the reply. I think that might actually be one of the few I haven't tried. I'll mention it in my appointment in January. Its just so frustrating how they all seem to work for a bit but then it's like my body adapts to it or something and it stops working after a while. Xx
