Hi I’m new to this page and just wanted abit of advice.

I have been suffering for years with pain heavy bleeds the last 2 years have been the worse I have been passing out with pain struggling to go to the toilet etc. I finally got my lap in September and they diagnosed endo severe also in my bladder and uretha I met with the consultant 5 weeks after and she said she has referred me to a endo clinic and I will hear in a few weeks with a appoint as I need more surgery as she could t remove it all due to being too severe and needed a specialist with the uretha and bladder. It’s been 4 weeks since I seen her and iv heard nothing I rang up the hospital to be told they have received nothing about me and to ring the consultants receptionist so she can fax over the letters again, to be told from her that she’s busy and will do it if and when she has time. I don’t know what to do do I call again to ask if she’s sent them over?she made me feel like a child being told off and that I just didn’t matter and was a nuisance. I just feel like I got somewhere and now I’m right back at the beginning. The doctors can’t help me as they know what it is and there isn’t anything they can do except give me pain relief.. I feel like all I do is wait for appointments that just don’t come. The consultant was lovely and talked me through it all I just don’t believe that she has lied and fobbed me off because she was the one finally helping me I’m hoping it’s been a mess up on the receptionist side but then I’m back in limbo has anyone had this or the same situation I feel like I’m going mad I had the coil fitted to help with bleeding but so far everything has been the same the pain the bleeds nothing has actually changed.

HI Baba11,

Welcome to the Endometriosis UK Health Unlocked Forum! I am very sorry to hear about your continued struggles with Endometriosis--it sounds like you've had a very difficult time.

While I can't personally give you any advice, it sounds like you need to do whatever possible in order to progress your treatment, especially if you feel as though you need that further surgery.

We do have some information regarding treatment, if you'd like to have a read through and see if there's any shorter term solutions that may help you while you await your next surgery:

If you want someone to talk to to help you consider your options, or just a friendly ear, we do also have a helpline available. Their number and opening hours can be found here:

I sincerely hope you're able to find a resolution and relief from this situation as soon as possible.

Kind regards,

Gemma
