Post op bleeding with coil

Hi Ladies,

I’m 6 weeks post lap and I’m still spotting and bleeding. I did have the coil fitted so wasn’t sure if that’s why. I’m still in a lot of pain but I’m def recovering from the op itself, it’s back to my normal pain prior to op but just worse as I’m bleeding. Was on cerazette prior to op and had no bleeding. Got my coil check next week so I’ve got lots of questions.

Did anyone else have coil fitted? Did it settle?

I had a coil fitted after my lap. I bled for a bit but not 6 weeks. Is it your first coil? It is possible that you may bleed longer if so, sometimes they take a while to settle. I think they say allow 6 months!! That said I’ve never had a problem with mine, I love it! My sister in the other hand didn’t get on with it. Hopefully you’ll get your questions answered at your next check up xx

Thank you, yeah I knew it could take 6 months to settle but didn’t expect to bleed constantly, just feeling really drained and down with it now. Really hoping it settles as this was my only option xx
