Another jeffing PB
The downslope on my Strava
fitness
graph was scary! It was my first attempt at the half marathon distance since lockdown. I did 5 minutes run / 2 minutes walk and got round in 2:42:00. No previous race times to compare but set against my pre-lockdown runs on Strava it was a PR by 8 minutes.

Diagnosing early cirrhosis / fibrosis / ALD
Fatigue and anxiety has grown significanlty over the past six months, as has my cardiovascular
fitness
. My stools are often more yellow-brown than dark brown. Never had jaundice, ascities, etc. In early March, after quite a lot of drinking in December to February, I did my first blood test.

60 Not Out, Your Grumpy Viral Meningitis Survivor, is back
I have though a lot of reasons to be grateful to the sport of triathlon not least because it was my aerobic
fitness
which stopped me declining that night. My system was just fit enough to help me and just enough to turn a corner and survive.

Another short run of just 3k
I can certainly tell I have lost
fitness
over the last couple of months. It was a misty morning and pleasently cool as I left the house for my warm-up walk. Tech behaved today and I just followed the NRC 3k run for a change .

Planning a 5km route
Hello, I don’t own a
fitness
watch (and don’t really want to). Is there a way I can plan a 5km route? I tend to do a longer warm up walk so never start the app up and kick off my session from my house plus my default apps on my phone track all of my steps/distance for the entire day.

10 days post RF follow up ablation
Very tired first few days and a spectacular bruise in my groin that was still spreading up till yesterday 😯 Wound site healing nicely so all in all I'm very happy with the outcome and looking forward to gaining some

Serial Offender is back.
In the past I've just carried on through the program but this time I may repeat runs just to help increase my
fitness
and aid in weightloss, etc, but I'm back on the wagon and aiming not to fall off of it again. As usual, my running diary will be posted on here, feel free to ignore it.

Fitness tracker
Hi Just wondering if people start the trackers at start of warm up and stop after cool down or beginning and end of actual run? Thanks

Pretty chuffed
I’m so happy that I have a level of
fitness
back again and I am really looking forward to increasing the distance. My pace is very slow (I had to run for 38 minutes to reach 5K) but I have always been about the running experience and the distance rather than speed.

W5R3 - DONE! 🥳
When the
fitness
studio closed during the first "lock-down" in spring 2020, I started speed walking outside and gradually increased my pace (here we never really had lock-downs... folks were just calling them that...).

re; statins. Follow Up.
I can now fall back to sleep at night after I awake and my overall
fitness
has improved ( golf three days a week 😎). as my original post that’s the first step now doctor recommended pravastatin 10mg dose for two months. Will then check bloods and general health.

Dreaded last day of week 5 more or less done. Unsure about the program. Some venting.
But I'm okay with that for now and I'm keeping the work to get to that level of
fitness
eventually. Today I finished the dreaded 3rd day of week 5. The one where you run 20 min non stop.

Post C25K Consolidation, and now Ju-Ju’s Magic Plan W3R3 Done
I repeated just one run to get back into it after a two-week break, and found that although I had seemingly not lost
fitness
, my recovery from that repeat run was slower. I found the same slower recovery after the following couple of runs.

W6R3!!!! 🎉🤓🏃♂️
Thanks for all the posts guys and gals, I read great advice about stamina and
fitness
loss etc and decided I was okay to give W6R3 a go and take it really easy see how I felt. It's a beautiful morning here in Yorkshire, clear skies, the chirp of birds, a cool breeze...what's not to love!?

FAQ POST…........... WHAT IS CONSOLIDATION?
However, there is no need to increase if you do not wish to do so and your
fitness
will continue to develop gently if you stay at the same load.

last run of the program
I love the headspace and the
fitness
! I feel less achy and feeling more energetic. It’s the best thing I’ve done for me , I now have caught the running bug and want to run further , I went on a run yesterday and extended my running time by 5 minutes, and ran 5.5 km .
