Vaginal atrophy and dryness
Hi everyone, I've been prescribed Estriol which is a hormone for vaginal atrophy and dryness after pelvic radiotherapy 9 years ago. Does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative cream or pessary please as I don't want to use a hormonal solution especially after reading the side effects? Thank you

A New Cell Therapy Trial for MF

Has anyone had a prolapse? I feel so fed up, it's never ending
Hi ladies, 3 years ago I had a prolapse repair. I am currently waiting for a hysterectomy to stop my Adenomyosis pain. Now I have another prolapse. I can hardly walk and in so much discomfort. I'm really trying to enjoy life but it's all so testing 😢 I've had enough. I always do my Pelvic floor

NASH worries
Biopsy proved NASH ..NASH with stage 2
Fibrosis
. I reduced my body weight through intense walking / jogging . Subsequent MRI revealed fat fraction in liver is only 3 to 4%, no evidence of ascites, normal spleen. I'm non diabetic, cholesterol levels normal .

On Prostap but worried about starting Tibolone
Hi all - this looks like a really helpful group xx I have been given prostap 3 monthly injection as now on list for a full hysterectomy due to fibroids . Consultant also prescribed Tibolone but when I read the data sheet it terrified me and I haven’t took any yet. I’m feeling more depressed than ever

Aside from ipatasertib, Roche is also punting its early-stage candidate efmarodocokin alfa, which was in a Phase I trial for acute graft-versus-host disease, zinpentraxin alfa, a candidate for idiopathic pulmonary
fibrosis
, and its Alzheimer’s hopeful, gantenerumab.

Liver update
Hello all Had a follow up after my wife’s recent diagnosis of advanced liver
fibrosis
and fatty liver. The consultant basically said that although there is scaring on the liver, that her liver is functionally normally and that there is no need to be worried.

Long-term statins administration exacerbates diabetic nephropathy via ectopic fat deposition in diabetic mice
Here, we find that long-term statin administration may increase insulin resistance, interfere with lipid metabolism, leads to inflammation and
fibrosis
, and ultimately fuel diabetic nephropathy progression in diabetic mice.

End Game. Advice on Palliative Care.
my Dad was diagnosed with pulmonary
fibrosis
about 18 months ago. Took him from being a fit and healthy 79 year old to a very ill 81 year old now. He has been on a downward spiral since Sept 2021 and since Christmas has pretty much been bed bound.

Day 4 of stimulation - ovulation signs - just checking it's normal!
Hi all, A quick question for a bit of reassurance in my first cycle! I'm on day 4 of stimulation drugs (Rekovelle) and already having all the signs I usually get just before ovulation (EWCM, twinges, bloating and headaches). I'm thinking this is just the extra hormones surging round me but a bit worried
