Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis
I've just had a laparoscopy carried out last week, which I'm recovering well from but had a mirena coil fitted to help with the heavy painful periods. They have said that I need to give it at least three to six months to settle down, but have been getting really bad period pains which normally sub-side

Some Statistics regarding Large Vessel Vasculitis
Some statstics came through to us this morning so thought I would share them, but please do not shoot the messenger, I am just passing them on. There is estimated to be 1 new case of TAK (Takayasu Arteritis ) per million here in Europe per year. Average age of onset is 23 years. 50% of those diagnosed

Surgical menopause without HRT
I have just heard that my tumours are weakly positive for oestrogen receptivity which means I can't have HRT. I had my operation in October and my menopause systems are awful (hot flushes, terrible mood swings and weepiness, night sweats etc). They are so debilitating that I have not been able to return

Finally
Hi I have finally got my date for total hysterectomy (due to adenomyosis), ovary removal, excision and possible bowel resection. 11th March. I can't wait to get this done and get on with the road to recovery.

Oopherectomy bowel attached to womb. Pain. Daily pain
6 weeks ago I had a lap. Found stage 4 endo. Removed both ovaries one tube. Could not remove uterus as the bowel is now inside the uterus? It was in an endo centre. I was told if they took uterus I would end up in iTu for a month and with a colposcopy bag. I have been told that the uterus will now shrivel

Losing my rag
This is both a rant and a question, so I apologise in advance. I am 22 and have been diagnosed with endo for just over two years, suffered with it for three. First diagnostic lap was around this time two years ago, and they didn't remove anything claiming it was too risky. Cue zoladex, no HRT. Total

"Is a hysterectomy with removal of the ovaries really a good treatment for endometriosis? NO,it is not." Pls read to help educate yourselves
I'm just sharing this article with you all, as it never fails to amaze me how many ladies believe this common myth, and think that a hysterectomy is a treatment for endo, it really is NOT! Not all fibro
I came out of hospital on Friday after having an inguanal mesh hernia repair as a day patient. Not sure if this has set my fibro off worse or what but, I have never been in so much pain! The operation site is so sore and I'm bruised passed my belly button and down my leg! I had one done 10 years ago

Ovary Removal: Bad Back Pain
Hi I'm seeking advice or any type of similar stories.... I just turned 19. Throughout my summer I've spent it going back and forth to the emergency room, OBGYN, and radiologist. Not knowing anything serious was going on internally. I began to feel back pain and it become more and more excruciating.

Endo back after hysterctomy ?!? :(
I'm gutted.... I can't believe I'm posting this only 9 months after my Hysterctomy. I was diagnosed with endo in 2013 1st on my left ovary.... In 2014 the pain started to get bad and endo was found on my uterasacral ligaments and I was diagnosed with adenomyosis. I had a total hysterectomy and left oophorectomy

Post-Hysterectomy & Endo - Info/Articles
As requested by some I have put together some articles relating to endometriosis recurring after a hysterectomy (whether including or not ovaries removal). In essence, one of the reasons it is believed that woman retain the ability to regenerate and have recurring endo even after a total hysterectomy

Surgical menopause
Hi everyone. I am 43 and am about to have a total hysterectomy and oophorectomy. I know that it's necessary due to several physical problems. My concern is about the surgical menopause it will cause. I've heard the horror stories and would greatly appreciate any words of wisdom or hope. Thank you!

My Medical Record for my Hernia Repair - 2011
A recorded delivery letter today. My medical records from the hospital that I requested so I could find out what type of mesh and the serial number of the material used. I am gobsmacked at what I read in the records. I had a CT scan done in 2012, six months after I had my hernia repair. This is the
