Does anyone know anything about blood pressure?
I developed high blood pressure in February/March of this year and was advised by the GP to get a home monitor. My blood pressure is still above normal despite being on 5ml ramipril daily. I monitor it twice daily in case it jumps again as the GP has me on a 'check bp again in two years' requirement.

Amlodipine in morning and Ramipril at night?
I have just yesterday been prescribed 5mg Amlodipine on top of the 5mg of Ramipril I’ve been taking. The GP didn’t specify over the phone if I take them both in the morning (I have been taking my BP tablet in the morning since I started 5 years ago) or to separate them out? I have read that taking them

abdominal pain with ramipril and felodopine
I have been on these two medications for years and during that time have always suffered lower abdominal pain which is getting worse. Does anyone have the same problem and if so have they been prescribed alternative medication or is it just coincidence.

Hello everyone, On my last post I asked if I could have Hashimoto's from my test results as I already have another autoimmune condtion called Psoriasis. I have many of the symptoms associated with Hypo or Hashimotos. Some of you said it was unlikely because of the antibody tests, but also mentioned

LOW BLOOD PRESSURE
A somewhat new development for me has me wondering if there could be any relationship to our illness, so I'm seeking comments. My Blood Pressure has been dropping over time, and I did lose some weight in the last year, but I find it hard to imagine its because of the weight. One year ago I was 254

Candesartan 4mg
Hi, Just been diagnosed with HBP which is freaking me out a bit, I was started on Ramipril but felt awful on them, constantly dizzy, lightheaded etc. So the doctor put me on Candesartan on a low dose, so far no real side-effects - occasional spells. I was just wondering how long I should wait

Light-Headed
Hi, I have survived 2 'out of hospital' cardiac arrests. I had a triple heart bypass after the first in 2012 and an ICD fitted in 2019 after the second. 10 days ago, I started feeling very light-headed. I have had no change of meds (either dosage or type) . I take Ramipril, Amiodarone, Asprin, Bisoprolol

Amlodipine side effects
Hi Guys I have recently been prescribed Amlodipine for high blood pressure and the first prescription was for 5mg per day, that made no difference to my BP readings, I was then prescribed the same meds at 10mg per day, since taking 10mg per day my calves and lower legs become swollen in the afternoon

The anxiety is real!
I keep coming back to add more... I think I must bore people with always talking about my health just now, but its so helpful to get things written out... My previous posts will show my background in more detail (and have had some very useful and kind replies, thank you!)... but briefly, a couple of

High Blood pressure - Medical recommendation
I did a 24h blood pressure monitor and my blood pressure was above the target (day 139/88, night 120/75, total 133/84). My consultant recommended to take Ramipril 2.5mg once a day. What do you think? Should I try first with daily yoga/meditation sessions? Any alternative medicine or more natural
