Amlodipine for Hypertension
Hi, community. I have a (new) diagnosis of hypertension, which means yet another tablet to add to my cocktail. The proposed first line treatment, apparently, is Amlodipine. However, I am wary of this drug, in case it worsens my Erythromelalgia, which is pretty bad anyway, and getting worse all by

Doxazosin
I’m currently on Amlodipine and Ramipril for high blood pressure. I then lost my father and didn’t want to know about what other medications I could try. He wants me to try Doxazosin The prescription is waiting for me at the pharmacy and I am just wondering if it did work for someone? I am not nervous

Heart Meds...Stomach problems...anyone else?
Hi all, I had a H/A in January which resulted in a stent being fitted. I am on several meds Asprin, Atorvastin 80mg, Clopidogrel, Lanzoprazole, Ramipril 7.5mg, Bisoprolol and recently I have suffered severe stomach pain and diarrhoea. This is happening basically once a week and I'm presuming it is

Skin problems.
I have had very itchy rash for about 12 months and wondered whether this is caused by any of the heart medications I am taking following bypass surgery two years ago. The rash seems to be getting worse and more widespread, covering large areas of my back, shoulders and chest. I am currently taking Bisoprolol

Does anyone else on Bisoprolol get occassional spikes taking diastoylic BP very high?
Hi allAfter Cardiology put me on 2.5mg Bisoprolol last Nov for Bigemniny & (8%) Ventricular Ectopics I discovered that although it reduces my BP lower than the BP meds i was already on, it also occassionally spikes my diastolic BP sky high. GP said it shouldn't do this & to discuss it with the Cardiologist

weight gain, dizziness and poor sleep
I have microvascular heart disease and take Ranolazine, Monomil, Bisoprolol, Amlodipine and Atorvastatin. Despite Ranolazine being increased to 1500 mg daily I am still very breathless with little exertion. I am dizzy if I bend or move quickly, Sleep, or lack of it, is awful and I am gathering weight

Bp and heart rate
Just did my Bp and heart rate, 110/59 bp 47 hr. I think this is low. Diagnosed with Af couple of months ago and put on 1.25mg Bisoprolol with anti coagulants. Been on Amlodipine for several years as well. Doctor seemed happy enough with my last round of tests, but I think results are lowish. Any opinions

Cardiology check up
Just wanted to share some positive news. After not seeing a cardiologist for over 2.5 yrs, I finally had a face to face appt last week. The cardiologist was fantastic and she spent over 20 mins chatting with me. I had been concerned as after an echocardiogram last June, neither me or my GP had seen

Recovery from AV Fistula Surgery
Day 3 of Recovery from the AV Fistula Surgery You don’t know what you have until it is gone. Only having one arm is a real challenge. The next day, the block that was put in was still there, but much less. I had tingles in my hand and I could bend it and pickup things, if they were light. It is amazing

Ramipril and Lupus
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has experience ( good or bad) of taking Ramipril? I have high blood pressure, and I've been taking it for just over a month. I was fine for the first 2 weeks but then had migraines almost every day. I've also been having the worst gastric reflux I've ever experienced. My

cardiologist told me to stop taking amlodipine 5mg and start taking enalapril-hctz 5-12.5mg for atrial fibrillation.
I had atrial fibrillation for at least 15 years the dr. say don't worry about it. I had a mini stroke in 2008, I didn't take my blood pressure medicine plus I was a heavy drinker and ate everything that went in my mouth :). I cleaned up my act since I've been on this website lost weight, eating healthy
