Just did my Bp and heart rate, 110/59 bp 47 hr. I think this is low. Diagnosed with Af couple of months ago and put on 1.25mg Bisoprolol with anti coagulants. Been on Amlodipine for several years as well.
Doctor seemed happy enough with my last round of tests, but I think results are lowish. Any opinions please

As a one off reading it could be classed as on the low side, really you need to take a few readings a day and over a week or so you will see a patten, in the middle readings of this patten is your average .
But if you are worried that the average is still low then ask your Dr about it. It maybe a simple medication tweak is needed.
If you feel dizzy and it doesn't pass contact your Dr or 111 and follow their instructions, above all try not to worry, blood pressure readings can fluctuate a lot during the day for many reasons.
Heart rate of 47 is quite low. How did you measure it? If it was a blood pressure monitor my experience is that they very often give an inaccurately low rating. Suggest you get an ECG at your GP. If it really is 47 then they may advise you to go to A&E.
I have always had a low heart rate, but on being told, after a series of tests, that I had AF I was put on beta blockers as my original post. I measured on a BP monitor but followed it up with finger on wrist check, which confirmed previous Bp measure. I have no symptoms of dizziness etc, but do get erratic pulse some times, but never fast.
Hi Alvariam, my resting heart rate is always mid 40's and I think dropped after being prescribed bisoprolol about a year ago. Initially I was very concerned about this but am feeling otherwise quite well so unless the doctor has concerns I will not get too stressed about it. I agree with others that perhaps talk to your GP if you are feeling dizzy or unwell and with the blood pressure to take a couple of times a day over the course of a week to determine the average. It's not unusual for it to vary quite a bit over a period of time
I have done several average blood pressure/heart rate readings over a 5 day period for the surgery, with bp average around 110/65 and heart rate around 52bpm.
