Blood pressure medication
I've been on Ramipril and Bendroflumethiazide for years to manage hypertension, associated with T2 diabetes, and subsequently AF came into play, with betablockers and Rivaroxaban. But my blood pressure still kept creeping up, so the GP threw Doxazosin into the mix. This got the BP down to a better level

Amlodipine
I am on 10mg of Amlodipine plus another type of drug. The Amlodipine makes me nauseous but the combo is effective in controlling my BP. Does anyone know if you can split the Amlodipine dosage 5mg in morning and 5mg in evening and whether this helps symptoms or not? In the UK, trying to make an appointment

Tiredness and sore legs with Ramipril
I’ve been taking Ramipril for 4 months now, initially 2.5mg raised to 5mg. The two side effects that have really bothered me are severe tiredness out of nowhere, and inconsistent in it’s arrival (or not) AND secondly very weak legs after very menial tasks - like climbing a flight of stairs. I tend to

swollen ankles
I had a heart attack last March 2022 and I am now concerned because I have swollen ankles for the first time. I take Ramipril and Atorvastatin, would these tablets be the cause of swollen ankles? Anyone else experiencing the same problem? Many thanks

Amlodipine for angina
My husband, who is nearly 72, had a heart attack in April last year caused by high cholesterol. He had a stent fitted, told that his heart had no damage and was put on Bisoprolol 2.5mg twice a day, ramipril 2.5mg twice a day (now changed to Losartan 50mg once a day), ticagrelor for a year and aspirin

wrong tablets
I have just taken my husbands tablets by mistake. I should have taken Entresto, Bisoprolol, and edixaban. Instead I have taken 5mg Amlodipine, 20mg atorvastatin and tamsulosin hydrochloride. Doctors closed holiday weekend as is Blood Failure clinic. What should I do?

Indapamide with levothyroxine?
I have been prescribed Indapamide for high blood pressure. I also have Ramipril which I take in the evening. The Indapamide pack says to take in the morning. Can I take it with my thyroxine? I couldn’t see any contraindications for it but is it going to impede the thyroxine? ShouldI take it at night

Heart Flutters
I live in sunny Dorset with my wife, two children and our dog. I'm relatively active although ongoing back issues and surgery scupper my plans for long walks etc. Had a few health 'bits and bobs' over the years. Most recently I was diagnosed with hypertension. This was noted when I went for a procedure

Hi Had HA a year ago and was put on 2.5 Bisoprolol beta blocker. Had problems trying to recover due to breathlessness. Around 3 months later they tried me with Amlodipine in addition to Bisoprolol. But I was even worse. Then around 4 months ago was put on 1.25 Bisoprolol at night and still take

Post DC Cardioversion advice
My husband has had AF jumpy heart rhythm for years and has meds for slightly high BP - Bisoprolol and Ramipril, but has been getting a bit tired and breathless on exertion. So he had DC Cardioversion yesterday and is in sinus. But his resting heart rate is hovering around 50 and if he does anything

Update on meds.
Hi, Finally, off the Bisoprolol (great to feel energetic again). Now taking Nebivolol (1,25 mg ) per day….This particular BB is stabilising my heart rate between low to mid 60’s Amlodipine (5mg) for BP which is stabilising around 122/73 At the moment, all is well. Fingers crossed 🤞 it continues…
