How Do Those on T3 or Combo Therapy Navigate TSH Obsessed Doctors
After my pitiful NHS results in December ( before starting self sourced T3) my GP increased my Levo to 200mcg a day. I haven't been taking that much, obviously as I'm taking 150mcg of Levo and 12.5mgs of T3. The GP I spoke to said retest February and unfortunately my surgery have been uncharacteristically

Rhinitis Medicamentosa/A.F./Hip Replacement
Hi, I am about to have a consultation assessment for a hip replacement and having already posted about my concern with having to stop my Flecainide (150mg x 2) pre-op and being scared of going into A.F. prior or during the op. -my other big problem is having used Otrivine type nasal decongestant sprays

Oxygen levels
I have had COPD for around 15 years and it is getting steadily worse. I have the normal inhalers , have a air physio device, a nebuliser and recently have been accepted for oxygen therapy. On my last visit to hospital I was given the device that checks your oxygen levels. As I have only had this device

Hi all. I have Lymphodema in both my legs. I had total knee replacement 4 weeks ago, my knee is swollen and my lower leg and foot is is swollen. My skin is very dry in those areas. Obviously, I have swelling because of the surgery but also because of the Lymphoedema so decided to get back to my ritual

Total knee replacement and AF
Hi Firstly thank you to everyone who has offered their support previously since I was diagnosed with AF last November. Over the last few years I have been trying to hold off a total knee replacement. (TKR) I was walking more to strengthen my muscles to support my knee and managed to ditch the brace

wax treatments
having had an appointment with the specialist nurse yesterday I have been referred to occupational therapy for some help with my clawed hands. Really hoping I can get some positive help as I do suffer at times with pain and stiffness despite doing exercises. She also mentioned a wax bath treatment which

Soy concerns
Hi, I have been focusing on the nutrition posts to improve my diet as I have osteopenia. I am reading a lot of posts and articles saying to incorporate soy. I stay away from soy because of breast cancer risks. I don't have breast cancer but avoid any estrogen enhancing products/medication like hormone

Hey everyone. Would really love some positive replies 🤞 My story so far…. I had hip replacement in Feb 22…by Oct 22 I could not get out of bed….had to roll off onto the floor and loosen those muscles for around an hour or so. Tired all the time, sore in the glutes, hip area, neck and shoulders

Hip replacement 5days on!!!😵💫
5 days post op now and if I’m honest it’s been more painful than I anticipated!!! Doing everything I’ve been told and I am walking very wel with my crutches but really only pain free when lying down, despite pretty good pain relief. Just wondering if I should , reluctantly, up pred from 2mgs for a few

EP consult
The cardiologist I see is not able to provide medical management of my paroxysmal afib due to my low heart rate and low blood pressure (can't risk pushing either value lower), so I am hoping for an ablation. This morning, due to a cancellation, I was able to bring my initial EP consult forward by 1

I’m re-posting in case anyone has any insights on these results ….
these tests were done after I had increased my ThyroGold dose from 450mg to 600mg but I have not felt any discernible improvement in my symptoms which have got worse. I had a total knee replacement last July and things seem to have gone haywire since then.

Things, regimens, etc that are probably RLS worthless.
THINGS THAT DO NOT WORK FOR RLS All of us with RLS/PLMD have slightly different symptoms. We have tried various 'remedies' to try to relieve our RLS symptoms. We have read articles, some interesting, some ridiculous (bar of soap) that make amazing promises. And there is an entire array of things to

hi this is my last embryo from first cycle of IVF after 2 x failed transfers ( 1 x fresh, 2 x FET) My latest consult was really positive and she has decided to throw everything at this. I will be on steroids, clexane, progesterone injections and pessaries and obviously estrogen patches for lining.

Stopping Levothyroxine temporarily
I found out I had an underactive thyroid when had a routine blood test after breast cancer diagnosis. I had no symptoms, but was put on Levothyroxine (50) by GP at the time. I was also on Letrozole to stop estrogen. I was on Letrozole for 7 years, but since stopping it, I've had tummy problems...bloating

Painful legs (burning sensation behind both knees)
Hi all Well, I’m hoping someone can provide a view on what is happening to me now! For the last couple of months I have had severe pain in the legs which has now started to become a burn behind my knees. It doesn’t improve or worsen on exercise and is particularly painful laying in bed. I used to
