FET medicated cycle - struggling on progesterone and oestrogen

Hi All ,

I have finally got a transfer date for the 2nd of november 6 days from now i started the progesterone pessaries today . I am feeling absolutely horrible! Heartburn , nausea , burning hands and feet extremely exhausted and lower back ache. I honestly feel absolutely horrid.

Last time i had a fresh transfer so i cant remember how bad i felt on the pessaries.

Did anyone else feel horrible and so ill? , i am praying to god we make ot to transfer and the embryo thaws well . Im really struggling with the side effects just needed to rant:(.

My FET is on 1st November and first cycle. I started progesterone on Friday and felt horrible too. Really really tired, nausea and headaches, feeling sleepy all the time.

Fingers crossed it passes soon.

Hi, yes the side effects are not nice but they do calm down - or you get used to it! (Mine did anyway although I didn't have the heartburn or the feet thing.) I was extremely tired though and never felt rested even when I slept. I only got the nausea badly an hour after taking progynova so I started timing it and taking my teabreak at work so I could sit and drink a lemon and ginger tea when it hit.

Hello!

I see, I am not working atm so i guess distraction helps aswell! Rn im just left with my side effects and anxiety about it working or not:( its my last embryo. First fresh embryo worked but lost my baby to fetal anomaly at 21 weeks just this august. Everything is very fresh but just wanted to do this transfer so i can move past my loss somewhat . Im absolutely petrified.

I'm so sorry for your loss. No wonder you are nervous, but honestly going forward with it now shows the immense strength and resilience you have! Rationally, having had a BFP before hopefully puts you in a good place for things working out this time. Try to concentrate on the good things and know you are doing amazing 🙂. Got fingers crossed for you 🤞

Hi

I have just started meds last week for a medicated FET mid November, so a few weeks behind you.

Yes I had headaches and extreme tiredness last time, the side effects are definately not nice, but will be worth it.

Sending you lots of love and baby dust x

Hi, sorry you're having awful side effects. I'm mid way through my 4th FET cycle and am so exhausted and nauseated from taking oestrogen. I don't remember being so affected by them the last three times. Hope you start to feel better soon and good luck with your FET x

I’ve started treatment for a FET and also feel very tried and nauseous since I started progynova. Also had cold and hot sweats and headaches at first with the Prostap. Just keep telling myself it’s doing it’s job and will hopefully be all worthwhile ✨💕 🙏
