Hi, I recently had a laparoscopy and have cysts on one ovary. My periods are very bad, extremely bad, have been since age 10, used to be irregular when I was younger, but they come regularly enough now. I'm 28. After the laparoscopy, a doc said the ovary looks polycycstic, but that I probably don't have

Is ADT necessary when you take Zytiga?
The question has been asked here before. Perhaps someone will provide the link to the thread. The current issue of Prostatepedia includes an article on the subject [1]. Seems worthwhile to post it here, since many men on (classic) ADT + Abiraterone may be unaware of the SPARE trial results presented

Size of testicules...
I am on Lupron Depot since the end of May 2020 and I noticed that the size of my testicules seems to change daily. They go from normal size then they shrink to small olive size. Then they get back to almost normal and play yo-yo. My last test showed PSA 0.18 ug/L and testosterone <0.2nmol/L or <5.7684ng

Dad - 36 Months from dx, still not castrate resistant
Some time ago I posted my father's regular test scores for a full year from diagnosis, some found them useful, so I thought I would provide them again, and this time with an update of his most recent results. We are in the UK and he was diagnosed in July/Aug 2017, had 6 rounds of docetaxel in the Autumn

Testosterone and AF
I posted a while back that recent research found a link between low testosterone and AF in men. I plucked up the courage to have the test and for a 50 year old man the range should be between 142-923nano gram per litre. I came in at 512ng which is mid range. That rules out testosterone as a link for

Can anyone answer my question?
We know that ADT can kill hormone-sensitive prostate cancer cells. What happens to healthy prostate cell when Testosterone goes below castration level? Do they still produce PSA? How they are impacted by lack of Testosterone? I have done a great deal of searching without getting a satisfactory answer

Free vs Total Testosterone? - Redux.
Cheerr had asked: "Which test is recommended for Pca patients - Total or Free." I belatedly remembered a German study [1] that took a look at the issue. This could be important - hence the new post. "Despite the fact that free testosterone (FT) is the biologically active form, it is common practice

Possible secondary hypothyroidism
Hi everyone, I was hoping for an opinion on my daughter’s (aged 15) 3rd round of blood test results. I know these probably aren’t as complete as they could be but they are all I’m going to get for now. FBC normal (no numbers) Free T4 12.3 (12-22) - on previous 2 tests was 11.1 and 10.4 respectively

I have low testosterone as well as thyroid. What do I do.
I have had low thyroid for years. I have been through the process of haveing symptoms but being told my dose is right because my TSH is alright. I bought a testorone test from a reputable shop and it turns out to be low. I am 29 so I am not allowed to buy the treatment. It's only available for those
